Everyones thoughts on Ortiz V Alvarez ?

Golden Boy dont want to put Canelo anywhere near Lara.

Too much risk for little reward....easy to make as both are promoted by Golden Boy.

 

I dont mind Vanes Contendo...but im far from his biggest fan.

Honestly Top Rank havent had alot to give him within their own stable, which has forced Vanes to be a B side opponent vs 1 of Golden Boy's many 154 contenders when mentioned.
Vanes has been badly screwed over by the WBC as he should have been a forced mandatory 12 months ago...just like Ajose Olusegon should have been at 140.
Thats Golden Boy/WBC love for Canelo & Morales coming thru.

IMO though Vanes has to take a risk eventually to move forward in the sport & should have done so by now.
Luckily he is only 26, so time is on his side.
I dont think Vanes is "elite" but he probably is a lower 10 Junior Middleweight, had a great amateur background & could draw a good crowd in LA with his Glendale, California roots & its large Armenian population.

 

Reports ortiz had his jaw operated on which was broken in 6 places. Fractured sternum too apparently.

He's a head case but he doesnt deserve all the **** he is getting.

 

1 day the whole story about his past with Robert Garcia/Cameron Dunkin/Top Rank will come out.....
