Everything wrong with boxing today (Michael Benson)

Because it's completely irrelevant, Hearn-tier junk that's why. Literally no-one cares. It's like Walkers crisps doing a Facebook post about what 90's flavours people want back - pure marketing bile. It just drives a wedge between fans who end up squabbling over financials they have no clue about as opposed to them putting pressure on promoters to make fights happen. Think about that last sentence and reflect.

A couple of you claim someone is stealing. I asked for examples and your jimmies got rustled because you couldn’t. Geez.

 

So Benson reports/tweets news that’s available worldwide? What’s the problem? It’s not like he’s stealing while articles etc.
As for the poll or him in general, unfollow, block or mute him.
Personally if I see him tweet Something I known it’s pretty much legit

 

People hating for the sake of it. Don’t see the problem with him putting that poll up, people on here have been talking about the terms of the fight so why can’t he do the same? The fight hasn’t been made yet and obviously the terms are an issue so it’s worth talking about.

He puts a load of news in one place so I find the account useful to follow.

 

Doesn't bother me personally but I see why it bothers other people. Someone will do an interview or get a scoop, then Benson just tweets about it. I don't know of anyone within the boxing world that's met or seen him. He's just some random dude who tweets work other people have done. He doesn't get any scoops or anything himself. I think people just see it as lazy.

Couple of weeks ago he leaked something and the journalist in question called him out on it. I think that's what triggered the #blockbenson thing.

 

If he did then that’s a poor move but there’s still no examples of him doing this?

I’ve only seen him credit the people where he’s got the quotes from which serves a purpose as
all the “scoops” are in one place which is useful for people who haven’t got time to follow various different accounts and listen to hour long interviews.

so whats the excuse for the 10 months since the WBSS ended?

 

Smith was due a break because he was constantly on the go for a year with the tournament, back to back camps. They probably wanted him back sooner than 8 months after the tournament but now’s the time they need to properly push him and get him a big fight.

 

He had a baby and wanted a break... now its time for him to step up though so time will tell

 

Cutthroat and nasal spray are just a bit emotional because their hardcore asses are getting spanked by casuals

Who cares about the money, for the fans, it just side tracks away from the issues that really matter ...
