all these mayweather arse lickers will argue all day just let rematch tell the tail. dela hoya won this fight i agree
As much as I hate Mayweather, I will say "he can fight". He, hands down won the fight, then took out Hatton which was a crushing blow to me. I have a lot of respect for him now, and believe that he is a great fighter. If he really wants to be a great champ he has to fight Cotto.;
clear win for floyd oscar's big flurries may have pleased the crowd but they werent landing...you cant even call it a draw because there is simply no way you could find the 6 rounds to give to de la hoya...i called it 8-4...whenver oscar fights in vegas he'll always have the judges on his side hence the SD.
He had a great jab he neglected 90% of the fight. His own fault. Btw, I never made much of it then but what was the thing with mayweather wearing mexican flag color on for shorts?
I'd say he meant that it was fairly idiotic (or at least, slap-face-worthy) to assume a fighter won a fight based on a very short and HIGHLY edited clip. It's a bit much to score a fight when you haven't even seen an entire round.
Yeah Oscar looked liked he had been to have tea with his mother after that fight-not a mark on the guy! Guess that's why he calls fighting Mayrunner "sparring"!
If Oscar keeps up the jab for all twelve rounds, he'll win the rematch. Floyd had no answer when Oscar had him on the end of that jab. Still not sure if stamina was the real reason he quit throwing the jab, but it would definitely be in Oscar's best interest to work on his wind.
PBF took Oscar's jab away by countering it and with his movement. Oscar didn't just stop throwing it.:deal
Sorry, I have seen the whole fight more than once, and Floyd didn't really ever adapt to the jab. He didn't do anything different after the eighth round or so. All I (and plenty of people more knowledgable than myself) saw was Oscar throwing fewer and fewer punches, especially the jab. But, in the end, the only proof will come during the rematch, assuming that it happens. Then we will know for certain. Because Oscar himself has acknowledged that ceasing to use the jab cost him the fight. So, if his stamina isn't the problem (still not sure there), and he doesn't seem to be a headcase, then maybe it really was Floyd's subtle adaptations. But I doubt it.
