In all three cases, btw, I meant to say "powerful but flawed". As in heavy-handed but none of them are particularly fast or explosive whatsoever. All have complacent 'first-gear' tendencies. None have a lot of killer instinct or variety in their game offensively, nor are their defenses very dynamic (head and upper body movement nowhere to be found). Basic stand-up one-two artists to a tee.

Sirenko was the best amateur, Teslenko has for some reason been given the most slack in the pros as far as people seeing something in him and clinging to hopes he can achieve that potential (or at least, did until he lost), and IMO the h2h best of them was always Sirenko even though he has frustratingly been a can crusher since his debut. FFS his biggest steps up to date were just in this very calendar year against Ouatah and 44 year old Ustinov - a level he should have progressed past a while ago.

So, to answer your original question @Dannymita - "..is tischenko the 12ft 9 featherfist whose got extremely stiff legs and struggles to knockout a wank?"

Yes. I think between him and the other guys he gets mixed up with, you're most likely thinking of Tishchenko here.

Yeah, Tishchenko couldn't get out of that amateurish mode. One positive is that he didn't totally wilt, and showed brief signs of life after coming terms to the fact that he was being totally outclassed, and in danger of losing the fight. No signs of a quitter, or a glass chin which often goes alongside the tendency that some former amateur standouts have of fighting too passive and negatively. If he can shake this mentality and adopt a more suitable style for the pros, then maybe he can still make some noise. I'm not quite ready to lump him in with the "talented and accomplished amateurs who couldn't quite cut it in the pros" crowd. I think he'll win today regardless, but hopefully we'll get to see some signs of improvement.
