He's an interesting fighter, but he is getting older (34 years old). He's one of the only men who has beaten Deontay Wilder in a boxing competition (although it was years ago). He's Small for a HW, but he has very good skills, quick hands, and has lots of snap on his punches. He didn't look particularly good in his fight against the Argentinian journeyman Ariel Bracamonte. He couldn't finish him, and if I recall, Bracamonte gave Romanov some troubles. Final thoughts: Romanov needs to quickly try and get big name fights before age gets to him. I believe right now, he could get wins over the likes of Gerald Washington, Marco Huck, Joseph Parker or Chisora.....
As I posted previously, I read he was fighting Bakole next. You are right about his fight with Bracamontes, he looked totally gassed after a few rounds but he got a bit of a second wind in that fight.
Hearn said he was looking to make the fight but he has now made Bakole vs some guy I've never heard of which is disappointing.
