Evgeny Tischenko Vs Youri Kayembre Kalenga & Magomed Kurbanov Vs Johan González RBR

This card has been weird since I tuned into it.
Ruslan Fayfer was fighting Kevin Johnson in a seven rounder that he won.
Jalolov was fighting fellow Olympian Danis Latypov in a five rounder that he won as well.
I don't know if both were exhibitions either but they might well have been.
Also the pre-fight hype building segment of the Kurbanov Vs González included Kurbanov staring at two pictures of Mayweather and Ali with two very poorly photoshopped Russian speaking mouths over theirs assumedly praising him.
The walkouts are starting right now.

Magomed Kurbanov Vs Johan González 10 rounds @ 154lbs.

 

Quiet first round, a real feeling out round punctuated by Kurbanov's more accurate jab and sparing overhand rights. González looks like he's trying to find his range still.
Kurbanov 10-9 round 1.

 

González getting through with more clean jabs now but he's not landing many follow up shots. Kurbanov's accuracy is comparatively much better, his jab is working well and he's finding the right to the body and over the lead shoulder nicely so far.
Kurbanov 10-9 round 2, 20-18 overall.

 

More of the same in round 3, even though Gonzalez is increasing the activity more to try and get through, Kurbanov is a bit too slick for him so far.
Kurbanov 10-9 round 3, 30-27 overall.

 

Kurbanov is just picking Gonzalez apart, the only thing he's lacking is a little bit of changing the gears to make Gonzalez more uncomfortable and perhaps wear him down but he looks comfortable boxing at a low enough pace just picking accurate clean punches at the so far clueless González.
Kurbanov 10-9 round 4, 40-36 overall.

 

González getting through a bit more due to his increased pressure but he just lacks the punch variety and selection to find the gaps he needs in Kurbanov's guard to hurt him. Kurbanov is slowing a bit though and despite his accuracy remaining, I think he lost that round on activity.
González 10-9 round 5, 49-46 Kurbanov overall.

 

I love Russian ring card girls. Always absolutely gorgeous.

 

González now finding more of a home for his own straight right through Kurbanov's pretty poor Philly shell imitation. Kurbanov's accuracy had also deserted him, he's suddenly looking a lot sloppier as his gas tank has clearly faded slightly. González a lot better in this round.
González 10-9 round 6, 58-56 Kurbanov overall.

 

Gonzalez is now looking like the slick one here as he makes Kurbanov miss consistently while landing many clean jabs and straight rights through Kurbanov's lazy guard. Kurbanov is throwing back with a bit more heat but it's not deterring Gonzalez who presses on with his basic but effective 1-2s. Close round but I edge it to Gonzalez.
Gonzalez 10-9 round 7, 67-66 Kurbanov overall.

 

Both men's output has dropped here as has their accuracy. González finished strong in the round and by simply trying to land more, he did as a result.
González 10-9 round 8, 76-76 overall.

 

Kurbanov eats a clean right to start the round, then another to the body. This is followed by tit for tat trading of potshots which is even in the exchanges, then it catches fire a bit where both men land clean hard shots on each other. That straight right of Gonzalez' is missing less and less and landing cleaner and cleaner. Kurbanov looks hesitant to press the action towards the end, losing the round pretty convincingly in my eyes.
