Evgeny Tischenko Vs Youri Kayembre Kalenga & Magomed Kurbanov Vs Johan González RBR

Kurbanov looks plain afraid to engage in the pocket now. He's trying to be cute and clever but Gonzalez keeps finding answers with his basic but well timed offence. Kurbanov throws occasional explosive flurries that land well before pivoting off in the mid round and it's working for him. Then González breaks his rhythm and finds a few more punches again. A lost mouthpiece by González creates a break in the action that benefits Kurbanov as he comes out blazing but Gonzalez lands a shot in return that stuns him a bit. Very close round, I edged it to Gonzalez again on landing a few more powerful punches.
González 10-9 round 10, 96-94 González overall.

 

This was pure Kurbanov, starting well and looking very sharp but then losing his sharpness throughout the fight to arguably lose it. He gets a decision that he didn't deserve and I'm pissed now. A draw would've been fair. Kurbanov just didn't look good here, he was exposed by a guy who literally only had a good jab and straight right and nothing else to speak of.

 

I've seen both listed and I don't know which to believe at this stage. From what I've seen I think it's Kalenga currently but could very well be wrong.

 

As I said, he starts strong but it seems that he doesn't gas necessarily but he just loses his zip and that seemingly costs him all of his advantages in the ring.

 

Why TF are they showing judo right now?
