Damn what a crazy end to that round, both men badly rocked. Sitemela first caught clean, pushed to the ropes and counters a Yaqubov trying to close the show and had what could've been a knockdown ruled a slip at the bell.

 

Crazy third round. Yaqupov seemed really bothered by a bodyshot but then he hurt Sitemela with a left hook, tried to finish him but got wobbled badly by a right hook.

 

Yakubov took serious damage after the bell in round 3.

 

Yakubov hurt Sitemela, then tried to knock him out in the corner, but Sitemela came out with a counter-punch that staggered Yakubov.

Sitemela knocked down twice in the 5th round.

 

What a fight.

 

This is a case of good matchmaking. Very technical fight with power on display by both.

 

Good comeback round by Lunga there.

 

This fight is just a back and forth war, but not a sloppy brawl. It's still an aesthetically pleasing fight for the purist.

Well done to both, Yaqubov took it at the end by my view but Sitemela didn't make a single round easy. He was notably good at cutting the ring off and used feints very well to that end. Yaqubov showed lots of grit and his typical technical excellence.

Very competitive and you should be in the mix!!!

 

That was an awesome fight and the scorecards don't reflect how competitive it was. Yakubov also benefitted from hometown refereeing here and there when Sitemala got a little momentum going.

I'm not sure it changes the outcome, I would definitely like to see both again.
