Bamrungauea continues just pelting Anane with those long whiplike legs. The overmatched Algerian-French-Thai can just never gain his balance (although he at one point tries grabbing the ankle of Bamrungauea in midair, trapped between his gloves, and rope-snaps him onto the ground in a pretty hilarious desperation move to buy himself time), and is dropped a couple more times, until...

I'd thought it was the co-main event but apparently Emmeric Pierre Roger Dewaele vs. Apisak Puttawong, 6 rounds @ super middleweight was the first bout on the broadcast...which I guess started at 7am EST, an hour ahead of what had been advertised.

Year he's aiming to retire?

 

10-9 Yordan, jabbing consistently to head and body, not letting Khaophimai get much going.

 

Round 2

Khaophimai backing up as Yordan probes with his jab at every conceivable (legal) altitude, then mixes in awkward uppercuts from down by his flanks. Khaophimai focused on protecting his chin, which Yordan is encouraging by jabbing at it every few seconds, but this leaves his body wide open for Yordan's bread-and-butter attacks. Khaophimai sprinkling in light defensive jabs while cutting the corners of the ring stepping left. NICE right cross by Khaophimai, his best shot of the fight and maybe the best straight punch landed by either man so far. Some haymakers by Yordan to end the round, mostly just scare tactics, firing as Khaophimai has already started backing up.

Round 3

Khaophimai throws lead left hooks and rocketing rights up from his hip to fend Yordan off. Jabbing into the chest and chin, Yordan manages to herd Khaophimai diagonally across the ring and into a corner. Hard body shot two-piece by Yordan. Khaophimai tries clinching at one point and Yordan bangs loose with some hooks whamming in high from either side.

So probably yes to retiring by then as it happens, unless he wants to pull double-duty like Pac. (which always seemed an idea of dubious merit)

Round 4

Khaophimai getting pummeled with hooks and right uppercuts in succession. Yordan coming forward inexorably, throwing almost nonstop, with only medium hand-speed but with serious power and giving no quarter. Good defense from Khaophimai, bobbing and weaving against the ropes, but he is still getting hit and can barely get any counters in edgewise.

10-9 Yordan, dominant, thought he might get the KO a few times.
