Fellas, tell me if this is just me, and lets try to keep the Manny vs Floyd partisanship out of this, but does it seem to anyone else that Freddie has over the years become progressively less shy and more arrogant in interviews?

Seems to me that if you take the Pac DLH fight as a starting point he was very shy and very mild and polite and I think if you look at his interviews today you'll see a bit of a difference. Less shy and often times a bit of an attitude.

Does anyone else think there's been a progression?

I think he's coming off progressively worse. If I had to pick a trainer personality wise I'd prob pick Buddy McGirt. Seems a nice dude.

Less shy and arrogant but he's also being envied at by another boxing trainer who said this.

"They can do what they want to do, they give [awards] to Freddie Roach all the time and he can’t f***ing train no damn nobody. Let’s be for real, you can put us both on stage and you’ll find out who’s the best. He’s nowhere near me, he’s not even in the same class, nowhere near. But like I said before, they’ve been giving him all the accolades but I don’t give a damn. You got to go through all that bullsh*t to get a f***ing trophy? F*** them, I ain’t thinking about them,"

Yeah, I noticed that too. Back then, his name wasn't really known, he was dealing with Parkinson's, didn't have a wife or gf, wasn't making the money he is now and he was a pretty shy guy.

But now, the money and fame got to his head. Guy must be getting some grade A Filipino *****. Must be a hand me down from Pac's gambling/infidelity days.

Obviously a Mayweather, Roger or Sr.

Freddie Roach has always been like that. Guy bit someone's eye out apparently lol.

Thing is, every fighter that has trained with Roach, and even the ones that came as sparring partners to his camps always have very nice things to say about Roach and how great of a trainer he is and how much they learned. Even Khan whom Roach has consistently talked BS about still has nice things to say about Roach.

You don't get BS like Hatton blaming Floyd Sr for the poor training, peaking too soon and making him run up hills with heavy boots.

Freddy has had quite a few fights. Freddy is getting older and bolder. Freddy doesnt really care what anyone thinks because......well why should he? hes his own man and can walk away anytime he chooses to.

I think he is becoming immune to boxing fans and part time "scribes" trying to reason with him over stuff that he says or does.:deal:thumbsup:hat

Freddie is naturally quiet & shy until something annoys him.
As for him being a great trainer?? Freddie learned from one of the best EVER Eddie Papa Smurf Futch. Freddie is an ATG trainer one of the best in recent years. Floyd sr is a joke compared to Freddie
