Exaclty who has Froch fought that proves his "iron" chin?

Iron?

We can say its very good at least. Even a shot Robin Reid does not lack power, and he hit Froch with the biggest most telegraphed hayemaker windmill punch I've seen. It says a lot about his defence, but also his chin that he didn't blink from that.

 

dont remember reid doing anything in that fight. i was very drunk though.

 

You must have been. It was the most memorable thing in the fight.

 

reid was embarrasing though wasnt he . shame seeing him like that .

 

He;s been hit flush many times due to his low hands and he's never been in any trouble whatsoever. Robin Reid absolutely NAILED him with a massive overhand right and Froch didn't even blink.They breed them tough in Nottingham!!

 

hardest punch i saw froch take was from robin reid.

also worrying that it landed.

reid threw a punch from way way back, over hand right that started from near his ankles and landed bang on the button and froch took it no problems.

it shows his chin is solid IMO

I definitely think he's got a very good chin as the way he fights he leaves himself open to getting hit a lot and his chin is his main form of defence.

Saw him a couple of times live a couple of years ago (when he was at the York Hall) and he got nailed hard a few times by Brian Magee and barely seemed to blink.

The answer to the question is that Froch hasn't fought anyone to say he has an iron chin, but from what I've seen of him taking big shots against lesser fighters I would bet that he at least has a very good chin.

I was gonna say until the last few posts no one had mentioned Reid, yes he was pretty shot by then but he could/can still bang with the best of them imo

 

Reid is a hard puncher too. Harder than Froch himself.

no i wouldnt. reid was never known as a huge puncher. its exactly what froch is known for.

 

It ain't iron until he gets hit flush by huge punchers time after time without going down. Sure is a very good chin though. Reid always had very good power and that huge right he landed flush didn't make The Cobra blink. Is it a better chin than the chin of Kesser? Who knows how good Kessler's chin is. Is it better than the chin of the Bute feller? Is it worse? Who knows? Better than Inkin's chin? Probably. Sure looks better than Pascal's chin.
