Froch ain't never been knocked down in a fight. Biggest puncher he faced was Reid.

OK if the biggest puncher he has fought was Reid then I agree that his Chin has yet to be tested completely.

His chin is tested feller. Might not be iron but it sure is very good and very good is good enough for anyone unless you fight like Andrade. Reid has always had a lot of power and his right over the top has always been damned good. Caught feller Froch with a huge one right on the chin. Feller Froch didn't blink. Caught him with some other good rights. Froch didn't blink.

his Chin has not been tested completely. Nobody is saying the guy has a Glass Jaw just that further evidence is needed to say if it is Iron or above average.

    Reid had 27 KO's in 39 wins.

Generally the guys that took him the distance spent most of their time on the bike, or were in short fights.

Most hit the canvas in any case at some stage.

You stupid or something? Of course it's above average. It's very good feller. Huge right hand from a feller with power lands on the chin and you don't blink, it's way above average.

One single shot does not mean iron chin. It suggests his chin is pretty good. Andrade toof hundreds of Kessler shots, that's an iron chin. I would say it is not a very good idea to be stamped iron chin, that means your defense is very poor.

You're not only wrong for the location. Want it or not, Pascal couldn't fight Miranda, the broadcaster (ESPN I think) did not want it after the Pittman fight. And Pascal (I should say Yvon Michel, his promoter) cancelled the Zuniga fight because he had a chance for the title against Froch. That's not ducking someone. Pascal is yelling too much for what he has done, that's true. He has fought injured three times, so we don't know if he will ever be able to fight at 100% again. His main problem is he has a lot of talent and always thought it was enough to make him a champion. He forgot the hard work part. But we haven't heard of him for months here in Quebec. He is in Arizona (without all Montreal friends and bars distractions). If Pascal is in a good shape and trains hard, Froch won't have an easy fight. But at the end, Pascal's chin is suspect, so he would have to avoid big hits all night. Froch cannot win this match on points. The problem for Pascal is he very capable of knocking him out.

WTF ? We've been over this here a thousand times already. Pascal would have taken the Miranda fight but after is dismal performance in Florida, Showtime were not interested anymore in putting that fight on so Miranda turned around, almost had a fight with Kessler and ended-up fighting Abraham.

As for Zuniga, Pascal pulled out because he was offered a title shot by both the WBO and the WBC. Who the **** is going to face a dangerous underdog like Zuniga when you already have a title fight waiting for you ? Do you really think that even a guy like Pavlik would have fought Miranda if he could have a fight with Taylor without facing Miranda ? Why face another dangerous boxer and put at risk your title shot when you don't have to ? If you're at the end of your career maybe, but when you're a prospect, your first goal is to become a world champion. No one is going to pass that chance.

As for his rating, it might not be deserved but since when the ABCs care about that ?

Alright, so what happend was Pascal looked like so much like **** that he wasn't worthy of fighting Edison Miranda on Showtime. But it was worthy enough to get a World Title shot. That make a lot os sense. Pascal not only is fighting chumps and never fought a good fighter, he don't even look good fighting them (chumps).

One thing Froch DEFINATELY isn`t,and thats OVERRATED.You say that because people like you just don`t like him. He`s 30 odd, never known until now,now that he`s got a world title shot, he deserves the hype like all fighters at that stage get.If he gets past Pascal in good fashion by ko he should deal with any of them two Taylor or Lacy.

The thing that really shocked me the most about Pascal was the nerve he had to confront Miranda ringside minutes after Miranda put Banks through the ropes. Pascal had just struggled against Omar Pittman so one would think that he'd be in his dressing room eating humble pie but there he was jawing with Miranda (God only knows how considering that the two don't even speak the same language). I just thought that was ridiculous considering how bad Pascal looked.
Anyway, I haven't seen much of Carl Froch but from what I have seen I'd pick him to beat Pascal. You can make the argument that Bute left the tough Tatesvosyan damaged goods before Froch got to him but Carl still stopped him early, which was nice. The Reid win I don't put much into cuz Robin was completely shot at that point. Beating Pascal will be a step int he right direction.

Hey, I dont think he's great but I have never seen a thread about the guy, for him to be overrated on.
