Set him up?, I really doubt it. His trainer wanted a major test for him and prepared him for it, if there was a set-up going on I'm pretty sure something big would be mentioned regarding it by now.

I'm a Khan fan but he just fought a major test he HAD to pass by to prove he's ready for the title shot he has been asking for but he simply couldn't. Coming back is always an option, Khan never had any excuses and no one really appreciates them especially when the winner won fairly and clearly.

what caught him out most and was his real downfall was throwing a lead left uppercut it was a silly move that he got countered by. it was very similar when witter threw a lazy left uppercut against harris and harris smartly threw a left hook, witters face looked like he had just met the loan shark wanting his money back.

he was clearly looking for a ko and throwing very unconvential punches it was a clear product of fightign stiffs and bums, as they give a bit of resistance but clealry dont know of his handspeed and power. prescott practicly said **** it. im koing this ***** and walked thru what ever amir was gonna give him. luckily for him amir was doing the exact same gameplan so it made his job alot easier when a guy starts to swing punches and your being the aggressor.

i just noticed that everyone who said "**** it" before the fight had a good shot against him. willie was training in a castle on a spartan training course, gomez wanted to give himself a present on his birthday and didnt give a damn if he got knocked down or outhustled....he was goign to royally slap his man up and finally prescott who we didnt know much about (alot like most of amirs opponants) he said "this was a clear victory for me" and i think he shook everyone when we saw how sharp he was on th epads...most the sky team were like...."amir has just opened a pandoras box"!!!!

new gameplan, fight decent punchers and guys who can go the distance with him. give him a

he should box and move he is no mug but the way he starts becoming an inside fighter and then sayin ghis heart rules his head is a clear excuse. he is learning no other way. he is learning to trade with the guy to which his naturally faster handspeed and combinations will be the winning factor....thats not a game plan.

he can reinvent himself. go to the u.s. fight on some ppv undercards and around the area and in europe. do what benn did, create a mad style change up from on coming puncher to slick a counterpuncher.

i dont think his career is finished and i hope he doesnt get ruled by his chin, he was hit hard by some shots earlier on against that bulgarian bloke. he just needs to keep a good tight defence whiel also using the footwork and technique that he had.

agreed his trainer wanted him to fight a puncher and he got one infront of him
warren clearly thought it was a bad idea and will pile the blame on the corner :patsch

Rewatch the fight. Khan lunged with a straight right earlier and could have been cleaned up. His defense looked very shakey. He punches below his weight and lacks KO power.

What he needs to do is study PBF both in and out of the ring. Khan can box, he is fast, but he has no chin and no power. Julian Jackson didn't have a chin but he KTFO everyone who didn't KTFO him.

Khan was overrated as a pro.

exactly what i commented on. he was very sharp and precise for a (what i thought) columbian brawler for all we knew picked on cab drivers and the kid roudn the corner.

but no he showed pretty good promise...also i think amir is smaller than what the 5'10 they give him. he looks about 5'8 or 5'9 with just a long neck:lol:

prescott also looked like what Ingle called McClellen "a Wedge" which is a great discription, long broad shoulders, with a thin waist. loads of reach an leverage without the extra load of big hips.

He's a boxer and I tend to cheer for fighters based on their boxing abilities, not based on race.
