I'm so glad he found a new pet-project (and one that has so much potential) in Rey Vargas so we can enjoy a few more years of Nacho's brilliance. Had that not happened, it probably would have become an immediate "buenos noches" as of Dinimita's retirement.
Haven't seen the kid fight. What do you recommend? I just read his dad is real upset with Nacho for messing up his stance and getting knocked down after having so much amateur success. Probably a father's jealousy though.
Wow! He is among the biggest prospects in the game, IMO. You should definitely check out anything you can get your hands on. He runs a little hot & lukewarm (wouldn't say outright cold, ever, as he always leaves a mostly good impression, but has fought down to certain opponents' level at times) but there is a lot to like and you can see why he inspired Nacho to stick it out a bit longer even with his star pupil winding things down. ...and yeah, sounds like sour g****s to me. Until his dad can prove he can hone a boxer's skill to even a hundredth the degree Nacho can I'd take anything negative he says about the guru with a grain of salt. :yep
[YT]jPDMdpzoAAM[/YT] Ah yes, you can see all of the typical Nacho trademarks right there. Good shout IB.
:good I actually think Óscar will go further than Felix Verdejo. (who's talented but has too many flaws & red flags to count)
Interesting. I initially thought the same thing but their differing dimensions (talking height and reach here) give me some pause as to which one will have an easier time. What flags do you see? I've seen Verdejo but haven't really scrutinized him.
Love Beristain's school of boxing. Such a simple yet very elegant and aesthetically pleasing to watch. The definitive textbook boxing. Great video. :good
