    Thanks for sharing. Who would have thought that Beristain admired the Soviet and Cubans styles so much?

    Thanks everyone.

    You know I actually think you can see some of the influences in his style. The guard somewhat resembles a modified European high guard with an upright posture, and the ring generalship is reminiscent of Cuban amateurs. And of course the combinations and left hooks to the body are a Mexican tradition.
