    I think he is confused as well, Mares threw foot work out the window and rushed Moreno at times throwing him of rythym and not giving him a second to catch some air.
    At the same time he could have paid heavily had Moreno countered him on those wold rushes, point is, he closed the show.

    Well he was past his prime, so I'd say he had gone from "great" to "very good" by 1997 with the Rivera fights and then Hurtado.

    I do think that Whitaker was in better form for the Oscar fight than he had been in awhile, due to training harder. I remember Oscar saying that just from looking at his legs against Hurtado that he didn't train like he should have.

    Segura is a good one, he also stopped that other Rican, and Santa Cruz takes care of fighters who use try to box circles around him, Rios vs Acosta aswell:thumbsup

    foreal GBP rigged the hell out of that fight. Called a BS knockdown on Moreno and took a point away from him as well for nothing. While at the same time taking no points away from Mares for his dirty crap.

    Despite that, it was a competitive fight and one judge still scored it a shut out :scaredas::patsch
