Margarito in the Mosley fight. :pop

Javier Capetillo Breaks Silence on some issues -

    On the Mosley fight

"[Margarito's] weight was a problem for that entire camp. He put on a lot of weight, not just water pounds but muscle, after he beat Cotto. He had to chop 20 pounds before he left Mexico to begin his camp for Mosley, and then he dropped another 30 in camp. He kept dropping weight and dropping weight until he had nothing," said Capetillo, adding that Margarito also had back problems that caused him to miss crucial training days.

"Then he would gain back whatever weight he lost the previous week. He was 16 pounds over [the welterweight limit] one week before the fight, and the closer we got to the weight, the sicker he got from dehydration," said Capetillo. "Four or five days out from the fight it was like he had the flu. He was shrinking before our eyes."

    On the handwraps

“I’ve trained fighters in L.A. for 30 years, I’ve known Shane Mosley since he was a little kid,” he said. “I would never want to hurt him. I would never want one of my fighters to seriously hurt any fighter. I live in their world. I know how they suffer in this sport. I know how they sacrifice. I know what they go through to make it to the top. I know that they get screwed over by promoters and managers. I respect fighters more than anyone.”

    anyway??

i'm sure oscar had a properly calibrated scale with him close by the day or the day before the weigh in where he can check his weight at anytime.

Hopefully this disgraceful miscarriage of justice can come to an end now and maybe Tony will get a nice settlement that will prevent him having to make a comeback.
I knew he would've whupped Shane that night if everything was right.

Bet y'all feeling real sorry now.Y'all happy?

His body shut down, stomach shrank, and couldn't gain it back. That's how badly drained he was. He was ****ed.

Morales is a good shot. He asked for the second Pacquiao fight to be at 135 irc, but Pac's team insisted on 130 and a 500,000$ weight penalty

I believe this. I've seen a lot of Margarito fights and to me he looked like crap in that fight! Not only because he was getting his ass whooped but his own punches and movement looked extra slow to me. He usually needs a few rounds to get going but this time it never came. Before anyone says "he's always slow" yes I get it, he's not exactly Rigo but I'm talkin slow for Margarito standards.

morales asked for a catchweight at 132 and pac refused, contracts had been signed months before.

    Hatton v Pac

Was very well documented that Hatton had completely overtrained for this fight & left half of himself in the gym, he looked gaunt come fight night.

Not that it would have changed the outcome of the fight, I believe Pac would have won but not inside 2 rounds.
