    Do they exist?

Even guys like Mike Tyson and Roy Jones trained their ass off for every fight and once they stopped doing it they started to lose

Duran could be lazy in training I think. For his most impressive performances he trained hard though. The first Leonard fight and for Hagler he was up for it. Against Hearns he was lazy and look what happened. I think it's rare to non-existent for a fighter to do well at the top level by being lazy. Mayweather and Pacquiao rose to p4p no.1 because of their crazy training as much as talent. Mayweather especially trains crazy hard at any time of the day or night.

Benitez immediately comes to mind. Others who often neglected training with mixed results are Ruben Olivares, Roberto Duran and Wilfredo Gomez. More recently i would say James Toney and Naseem Hamed.

Niccolino Locche, smoked his whole career & never cared for training. He even smoked between rounds in his earlier fights.

Talking bout the latter portion of his career. Like when he beat Jirov. Not when he was a middleweight.
