That's weird that you'd say that because I thought they both handled it pretty well. Not as technical boxers, but they both stood up and took it like men and never stopped trying.

John Ruiz always fouls, but when someone fouls him, he makes sure to complain to the ref and sometimes flops on the floor grabbing his groin after a Kirk Johnson low blow hits him on the hip.

Terry Norris could dish it out, but had a poor chin. And him of all people to complain about illegal punches after Simon Brown hit him with a rabbit punch.

VITLAY is the classic example for me, everyone screams about what a badass he is but the 2 guys that actually stood up and fought him without folding, made him quit (even though the doctor helped him out in one of them we all know he was about to quit anyway :yep)

After this weekend Hopkins became a prize ***** too, he pulled a couple of stunts against Slappy which were excusable but when you have to whinge, cry and whine against a guy as shot as Jones then you are a homo.

WALDO obviously belongs up there too but he's no quitter like his brother even though he does have a china chin.

Are you claiming that it is more important to win the fight rather than to win the event?

unfortunately, i have to agree with you

he is still my favorite fighter and sadly i still think about what could have been had he beat margo. He would have likely gone on to face DLH and if had beaten him, he would be where pac is right now.

    :deal

funny how none of hatton's supporters have tried to correct you since there is nothing to correct. I remember the lazcano fight where the ref would break up the holding almost literally whenever ricky would look at him. Sure enough he leaves his homeland and gets ko'd twice.

And not only that but even after MAB ran his ass into the ring post, he took it in good humor. He was a clown but he could obviously take **** in return.

I wish Hamed had fought longer. I feel deprived for not having the privilege to see him take a ten count.

He had a pretty damn good chin. You could knock him down but it rarely meant much. Except making him laugh.

I'm afraid I am, yes. I'm sure Alan Minter won the event when he fought Hagler too, considering the fight was stopped on cuts whilst Minter protested, and Hagler got booed out of the ring (to put it mildly)

To this day everyone remembers Hagler as being the winner of the fight though, and the 'event' has been lost somewhere. Same thing will happen with Lewis v VITLAY once all the fan-boys have vanished.

Victor Ortiz. Likes to pound people but when he gets pounded, he quits.
