I recall years ago that a quite light Olympic fighter hit harder than everyone...Up to 156 lbs.
I do not believe that it is at all likely that one of the lighter divisions hit harder than any-or most-HWs.
Even though amateur boxing rewards landing blows more due to the gear & protection against KOs.

If you are accurate, it is more likely something like a video where a woman hit harder than a certain male boxer.
Not that it is at all impossible, especially when the weight & strength may be similar.
But the woman threw a roundhouse, the man a jab or I think a straight right hand.

Or the bigger guys did not make the same effort.
If you have the source please link it.
Because even a Julian Jackson is highly unlikely to hit harder than all more modestly proportioned HWs, let alone guys from the modern age.

Watch or rewatch the Tate, Coetzee, and Truth Williams fights. Just as powerful, but lacking in too many other areas.

    Tyson vs Frazier...

obviously Frazier's left hook, Tyson's overhand right, Tyson's uppercut, I don't think Tyson drops Ali with a body shot like Frazier did though, and I think Frazier finishes Ribalta sooner than Tyson did

Try telling that to Francois Botha, Tyson knocked him out with one punch which is something Lennox Lewis, Wladimir Klitschko and Mighty Mo couldn't do.

There seems to be a lot of BS spread on these forums when it comes to Tyson's power, yes his combinations and speed were a big help but he's Tyson did have one punch power, he knocked down/out many with one **** and has more one shot knockouts than guys like Foreman and Shavers. Tyson stopped Francois Botha with one shot which Lennox Lewis, Wladimir Klitschko and Mighty Mo all couldn't do, Botha was honest and said Tyson hit him the hardest too.

    Deontay Wilder
    Wladimir Klitschko
    Earnie Shavers
    George Foreman
    David Tua
    Lennox Lewis
    Donovan Ruddock
    Arslanbek Makhmudov
    Mike Weaver
    Zhilei Zhang
    David Price
    Tommy Morrison
    Sonny Liston
    Bert Cooper
    Gerry Cooney
    Frank Bruno
    Rocky Marciano

All these guys along with Tyson hit very hard, some maybe did harder than Tyson but when it comes to all these guys and measuring their power it pretty much becomes a p!ssing contest because it's hard to tell unless you take a shot from every one of them and that ain't good for your health. Recently Andy Ruiz was asked who hit harder out of Anthony Joshua and Luis Ortiz, he answered he doesn't know it they both hit very hard.

Tyson certainly had the speed, accuracy and combinations supporting the effect of his power but I agree that his single shot power might be a bit underrated, a casualty of the effort to stress the significance of the contributing attributes otherwise.

I actually see a reverse application of this treatment re Shavers power. Earnie’s raw, single punch power was real - but to highlight and isolate that attribute, I feel that Shavers’ own technique, speed and accuracy is somewhat undersold. He could put his punches together very well also at times, as seen vs Clark 2 and Norton.

I will speak about some boxers actually :

Aran Dipaen hit very hard he is probably the thai who hit the most hard actually for to be honest with Thanongsak Simsri "KO Artist" / "Black Wolf" and his young brother Sitthisak Simsri "Red Wolf".

Some Japanese who hit really hard too : Naoya Inoue, Junto Nakatani, Shuichiro Yoshino, Kosuke Saka, Kai Ishizawa, Masamichi Yabuki, Yuga Ozaki, Daigo Higa, Keita Kurihara.

A french boxer that he had a decent power of course is Christian Mbilli actually.
