Frazier probably could have made LHW. He certainly would be a CW today. he was pretty blubbery.

Had more to do with training. He beat Barkley at 38 yrs old. It was a remarkable win.

Definitely Nonito Donaire. Hard puncher in lower division. Soft puncher in featherweight.

But I still like him. A great boxer nonetheless.

I think Glen benefited from fighting at 175. He made the weight easily and I am certain it helped with his longevity.
He had no business facing Makabu at Cruiserweight tho.

Gonzales is a Flyweight. Cuadras, Wangek and the rest are pretty much bantamweights who can squeeze down to 115.
And at those weights, it´s a big difference.

Adamek at HW. His once vaunted power was nowhere to be seen and his durability also wasn't as good. Sure he was still skilled enough to beat journeymen comfortably and scrape past certain contenders but it was definitely a bridge too far especially with the Klitschkos on top. The Vitali fight was a humiliating beatdown. He should have swallowed his pride and moved back down to CW after that. a few more years as a contender (without any big fights) before falling off altogether and becoming a scalp for guys like Szpilka and Molina wasn't real worth it.

Hatton at welterweight. Bob Foster. Both sugar rays at light heavyweight. You get some guys that can't afford to move up at all.

Frazier was a pretty stocky guy. I agree with him likely being a Cruiserweight today if not a lightheavyweightin today's game. The one thing he had going for him was that brutal left hook. Quarry who was smaller than Joe didn't have a weapon like that hook but relied of his counterpunching ability.

Regarding Frazier as a lightheavyweight, in today's game he probably could cut down to 175 but back in his era of same day weigh ins he would be at a serious disadvantage if he had to get 175 and then fight same day. If he had 24 hrs to rehydrate like today's fighter's it would makes sense. Keep in mind, lightheavyweight's back then didn't make **** compared to heavyweight's.

I agree. His back to back consecutive wins over Gonzalez, Woods, Jones and Tarver at 175 echo that.

He was definitely to small for Cruiserweight. You don't see to many 5'9/5'10 Cruiserweight's anymore but when we do they are usually very stocky like Lebedev, Fragomeni, Mormeck. Glen definitely wasn't built like those guys.

Facing Makabu while in his mid forties at Cruiserweight was a bad move for sure.

Hatton was beaten by two ATG at WW that's more to do with his overall level and ability rather than size. He probably over achieved at 140. Good but not elite

Yes, it was a remarkable win. Agreed. But he also lost to Kirkland Laing at 31 years old and Robbie Sims at 35. It's usually not good to make excuses about training because if a pro can't get in shape for a fight, he or she shouldn't be fighting in the first place. Personally I believe Duran was completely hit or miss above 147 and above 30 years old. Duran definitely was not suited for those weights as he had practically the same physical dimensions as JC Chavez for example.
