Examples of guys suffering devastating 1st or 2nd Rd KO losses who weren't the same

    Who are some good examples?

    Regardless of the stage of one's career, and whether they were guys who reached the highest level, or promising prospects, or anything in between.

    One that comes to mind is Booker T Word starching Maynard in the first. Man, how much $$$ did that cost his career?

    Another one was Norton bombing out Duane Bobick. There was a pretty sizable following for Duane at the time and pretty much turned that career into penny stock status after being looked at as a blue chip type guy.


    Another devastating early ko loss was Coetzee blowing out Leon Spinks in 79. Most people had maybe heard of the guy but it was difficult to see his fights. And things like Flash and the boxing magazines were far more attached to Neon Leon than the other guy. Another case of really damaging a career and paydays with that division coming to life a little bit.

    Sean O'Grady after getting bombed by Andy Ganigan, Pipino Cuevas after getting iced by Hearns and Livingstone Bramble starched by Edwin Rosario. All three of these fighters jaws were never again the same.

    Mark Breland. Was unbeatable until he got kod. Wasn't first or second round but was never the same after
