Does seem that way they want more money for a riskier fight. Business side of it ain't that simple

GGG is a great fighter from what we have seen. Why would Jacobs who is also a great fighter take such a big risk of losing his title for peanuts? Him, GGG, BJS, and all the other mw fighters are businessmen. They don't fight for legacy they fight for money. GGG is clearly not a fighter anybody wants to watch or else his ppv #'s would be better.

You GGG fans are hypocrites. GGG asks for more money to fight Canelo and you think it's fair. Jacobs asks for more money and he's ducking. I don't understand it.

GGG is in no position to make demands. He needs them they don't need him. Unfortunately that's boxing and all of you complaining won't change it.

Jacobs has a Glass Jaw and would get savagely KOed by Golovkin. He seemed pretty honest which is refreshing for once. Nice guy just has no Chin.

The money they're demanding is ridiculous though. Golovkin offered Saunders 3 million. That's 3 times the amount Lara made against Canelo.

None really. You would have thought that more of these guys would be ambitious enough to want to take the mantle of their divisional unified champ, but then of course there's some folk who'll say that Golovkin himself should be aiming higher, so take your pick. No-one can force a guy to fight if he doesn't think it's worth it.

I don't think Jacobs or Saunders really have an alternative that would be bigger than a Golovkin fight though, in the way that Golovkin seemed on the verge of a Cotto / Canelo title shot when Ward came calling.

well it actually came out that K2 lied about that and only offered 1mil, I'm just saying though the inconsistences in the arguments put up is crazy.
GGG turns down fighters citing money or resume it's taken as gospel another fighter says the exact same thing about GGG and its ducking can't have it both ways.

I agree can't make someone fight who feels it's not worth it, again though the exact same can be applied to GGG in picking fights but one is praised for it and the others are called sucks for it. even when it comes down to title fights look at Canelo how much do you wanna bet that if Smith had the exact same resume but was WBO MW Champ instead of WBO JMW Champ the same people would be calling GGG vs Smith the best fight out.

I agree it's rediculous but Lara could have actually beat Canelo and had a far better chance than Jacobs or anybody else at MW has against Golovkin. Fighting Golovkin for them is almost a guarantee that they lose their titles.

your lying and making ish up. Golovkin was enforcing his mandatory status, hence was taking a 25/30% from the split. He never asked for more money. check your facts. we dont see jacobs doing that

Fair enough. Tough situation for Golovkin though.

I think jacobs has better or equal chance against ggg than lemieux. And like lemieux I really don't think Jacobs looses his marketability. He can still make lots of money making matches against others at his level after fighting ggg.

Danny criticized Canelo for the ludicrous 155 weight limit excuse which we all agree was pathetic. What Danny is really saying is GGG is THE MAN @ 160. He knows how hard it would be to beat him So for him to take that risk he needs to be well paid. I agree with him on that 100%. Danny proved by how he beat cancer & fought his way back he has the stones of a champion
Its up to the promoters to put up the $$$$$$$$ & make the fight.
Let Pollo go play in the sandbox he had his chance to prove himself & CHICKENED OUT !!!!!!!!

In another interview from last night, Jacobs said the Golovkin fight should be ripe in a year or year and half. Yes, you read that right, year and a half.

This guy doesn't want it. Shook.
