Other than Wlad Klitschko 'vs' Haye, which is one I'm interested in, are there any potential matchups in the near future to get fight fans excited? :huh

I am crossing my fingers for Ray Austin and Dominick Guinn myself.

well...if - and maybe a big if...rocky rogan did beat skelton..then you may see him propelled into a fight with a top 10 in the world...he has a story behind him which would be marketable...he fights like a 'rocky'...and he would be commonwealth champion..
i think he'd beat samuel peter..and he'd give chagaev a good old tear up if he ever got near him..
not saying rogans great or anything...but looking at the heavyweights, he'd match any of the shorter ones i think...apart from haye, if you want to call him shorter..

theres not a single HW fight out there that interests me outside of the Haye Vs. The Klitschko's

it's just not a very good division.......and i've yet to see one prospect that looks like he can change that

I wouldn't even go that far; haye 'vs' Vitali would be pointless as well imo; crippled 38 year olds don't interest me.

How much would Valuev make by taking an ass kicking from Wlad? More than he would beating 5 bums and then retiring? I'm guesssing he would. How much respect from boxing fans would he receive if he did and at least put up a brave performance? More than if defends his 'title' for the next 3 years against no hopers. Take the fight you oversized ball-less ****** :-(

Actually, I think Sauerland (promotors of Valuev) are thinking in the direction of fighting Wlad. At least they have been saying so. They know there are only few fights left in Valuev, so it makes sense. Hopefully this is not just manager-talks. (They have some heavyweight prospects in their stable, so they might just think of keeping the belt and getting rid of Valuev).

Alexander Povetkin is one to look out for. At the moment he's kind of being screwed over and may not fight a worthy opponent until he gets his mandatory shot at Klitschko before november.... if the Ukranian is still champion by then, that is. Otherwise we might see him against Haye.

Povetkin vs. A good fighter (I think Povetkin makes it exciting against nearly anyone)

Dimitrenko vs. Boytsov (neither has been that impressive, time to see whos the better prospect)

Hopkins vs Valuev would be painfully boring.

But to see a 300lb freakshow being embarrassed by a 44 year old former middleweight would make it worthwhile.
