I do think this is literally the best news I've ever heard about boxing. And again what I love is it's not one promoter setting himself against other promoters. If Arum and Oscar are involved it really can be best against best. They'll be promoting great shows, and especially if their guys win they'd have a chance to fill their pockets too. Promoters can have development plans for their fighters outside, but coming together in the super series should be the goal and the pinnacle of the sport.

Yes because your average purses for a Cruiserweight is low compared to what they will get as part of the World series, so they will be involved because of that.

You would need a hell of a lot more to encourage the top players at HW or WW to face each other, because the top fighters earn more for an average fight

When you look at the divisions they have proposed Super welterweight and cruiserweight- none of the top names in those divisions can command the money the world boxing series will be offering...

So if anyone ducks its not in their interests financially, and financial interests are what count.

Light middle and cruiser really make sense. There's enough good European fighters to make it international. I'd love the format with one of the Charlos or Lara having to fight Soro, who they probably wouldn't otherwise face. Lightweight rather than cruiser would be good too. Don't let Flanagan run from Garcia, keep Linares in the mix, and see how Easter handles a jump up in class.

Yes, there should be no reason anyone not named Floyd Mayweather shouldn't want to be involved. I still already hear some Top Rank fighters in my head issuing press releases saying something like 'it doesn't fit in with the direction I want to take my career', or something. But with the money in this is really has a chance to finally be the positive change we need.
