Two big fights coming up for Scottish boxing - Burns v Martinez and Limond v Morales. Barry Morrison also faces McCloskey for the european title in October and badger Hughes gets a crack at commonwealth (i think thats still a goer) How it could all go wrong over two months, but I reckon Burns and Hughes have the talent to win. Morales will get the better of Limond and Morrison won't last against McCloskey imo. Some videos interviews with Limond, Burns and Morrison here: http://sport.stv.tv/boxing/195363-limond-wont-be-a-stepping-stone-for-morales/ http://sport.stv.tv/boxing/195314-burns-warns-martinez-you-cant-beat-what-you-cant-hit/ http://sport.stv.tv/boxing/192595-morrison-ready-to-take-european-title-from-mccloskey/ Cldnt find any Hughes videos... This is him fighting Ancliff last year - last round. Check out Ancliff punching himself at 1.11
Hughes is a helluva prospect imo. If he gets a bit more power behind his shots consistently he can go beyond the domestic route. It's nice to see Scottish boxing grabbbing some headlines. But here's hoping it's not a glorious failure as is too often the case with Scottish sport.
Yeah, Hughes is getting there. Does need more power tho. Could be a terrible couple months if they all get beat, but heres hoping!
Morrison v McClosky is a shite fight surely McClosky could of got a better opponent shocking fight that.
