So it's now 2 or 3 days before the fight and not 30 days.Freddie just gave an interview a few hours back and he says it's still 30 days.WHat are these guys smoking
"You can’t say enough about Freddie Roach. He’s never ever been involved in a controversy or any kind of cheating in boxing. " Wasn't Freddie Toney's trainer for the Ruiz fight?
To be honest I dont rate Ariza that much.He thinks just because Schaeffer did not fight then he doesnt know stuff. This guy's an idiot. There are people who know so much about the moon yet they have never been to the moon. Many analysts know more about businesses than managers who run them. He also has very little knowledge about the various methods of learning.Same guy who claimed Mayweather Sr knows nothing because he didnt go to high school. Is the classroom the only way of transmitting knowledge?
It is a good interview, I just got done reading it somewhere else. If you guys haven't read it yet, you should. Clears some of that Balco mess that people been floating about him and dives into the supplements and training he directs.
this dude sounds as innocent as can be. i have zero doubt Pac is clean now and always has been. how else would Manny be taking something? the mayweathers are the scum of the earth. human living excrement. everyone should read this,
You gotta love the part in which, in every single interview he does, he says Manny doesn't know what he's getting & just him (Ariza) knows what he's putting into Manny... kinda like "just in case we get caught, don't forget I'm the 1 to blame, not Pacquiao himself".... Reminds me of Margarito's trainer having to take all the blame himself!!
You hit it on the head !!!! It appears as if he is setting himself up as the fall guy....maybe they should look into his bank account and see what it looks like now!!!
Good article. To be honest, I don't really know where the controversy is with this. There is zero evidence that Manny has ever taken any sort of steroid or PED of any kind. It's pretty ludicrous.
hmm says . . . great read.... provided some info on how their regimen runs... quite detailed... i like how Ariza gave info on some of the stuff he puts into those protein drinks and that he has people working under him that research and come up with new methods to improve fitness and conditioning.. It took them so long to even convince Pac to take certain stuff, like an energy/recovery drink... I get the vibe that he's just a hard guy to convince (someone who does things simply and traditionaly) but at an honest one at that. I don't think he's hiding anything as accusations are concerned, but it's apparent that it's just hard to convince him to do something that is not done normally outside of the NSAC standard system (blood tests, etc. etc.). So I can sympathize with both sides in a way... I don't think Pac is guilty and I won't let myself change my perception of him by those that cry wolf or instigate otherwise on these boards.. I think Pac will take the blood tests eventually after some hard convincing.. will be cleared and clean...ready to go.... GBP still needs to shape up.... The fight will happen...
If I recall correctly Toney came up positive for a cortico steroid (coming off an injury before Ruiz), which is not an anabolic steroid. Anabolic steroids are used to build muscle unlike coticosteroids. This sort of highlights the problems with the banned substance list, it lumps steroids that you use for health reasons into the same pot as performance steroids. Corticosteroids are used in the treatment of many diseases like asthma, eczema, allergies, arthritis, colitis and kidney disease. An example are the asthma inhalers which would show up as a steroid positive in a test, but we all know it ain't to make you stronger. My kid has an ear infection and the doc gave him a steroid. He would fail the test too. This really makes me go hmm, what's wrong with this picture? There was some debate on the type of steroid it was. Anabolics are illegal so doctors aren't supposed to be prescribing them.
