Matthew vs Brook for the European makes sense right now. If he cant do a number on Hatton we know where his level is.
I wonder what Frank thinks of Brooks decision... If he really wanted Brook to stay im sure he could have. Unlike Khan, Brook does not have a big name so money could have easily swayed him.
I dunno i suspect he will be bitter cos that's Frank. I think he did offer him a deal but Matchroom must of really trumped him to get Brook's attention. I be honest i'm shocked by it but maybe Brook felt underwhelmed by opposition etc. Sure it will come out in wash over next 2 months.
I fear matchroom might throw him into a world title fight tooo early... Its as if Warren knows hes not ready yet.
He would never be ready the way Warren was moving him on. He ko'd Mcintyre two-and-a-half years ago and career stagnated since.
But it was said Warren held Calzage back for years aswell.... It was the right thing to do in the end
I knew that's who Hearn was going on about last night. :yep And fair play to him. He's right... Brook does deserve to be main eventing shows rather than just being on the undercards. I also agree that he (along with Frankie Gavin) is the best prospect in the country right now.
Kell's career has stood still for the last 18 months so maybe it's a good move. On the other hand maybe Warren knows something we don't.
