Proper order. The card is a joke and the main event is a mismatch. Fair play to Sky, they have to put the foot down some time.

If true sincere congratulations to Sky- thank you. I was not going to buy anyway.

Very good news. But the bad news is that the undercard will still be **** now.

Brilliant, I would have ended up paying to watch it begrudgingly. Now I can enjoy Khan dish out a one sided beating to McCloskey.

Great news, but not for the prospects of Fury-Rahman.

Also who thinks that indirectly and ironically, Haye v Harrison PPV was the best thing to happen to sKy ppv in a while?

The casual sports fan has now got accustomed to the 5/6 decent fight cards of the UFC and asking someone for £15 for one decent scrap and highlights was a disgrace. People want an event, a story behind each fight, even if it is the british flyweight title ffs

Haye Harrison is different to this in that both fighters were a known name, and the fact it sold 7x what this fight would. As a PPV it was easily acceptable because it was sell-able to the casual public on that fight alone with its cross market appeal.

However this fight has a problem in that Mccloskey is an unknown outside of boxing circles. With no undercard to expand the event Sky are not prepared to charge £14.95 for what is most likely going to be a 2 round tune up bout.

    Fair play to Sky.

It seems they've learned their lesson from the Haye/Harrison debacle and aren't going to allow blatant cashgrabs any longer.

It perhaps made them be more aware of how they go about hyping bouts which are a mismatch, however they certainly do not consider Haye Harrison to be a mistake.. if the clock was switched back and they had to do it over they would do it exactly the same because it made them millions, and other than the small minority who hold a grudge, most of the public will have long forgotten by the time the next one comes around, and any memory they do have will be soon wiped away by the hype machine.

Difference with this is.. Sky don't stand to make 10 million+ etc, they stand to make a few hundred K.. which is certainly not worth pissing people off over
