Floyd can hurt, knockdown and KO Pac

    but he won't...

The best he'll do is make Pac step back and clap his hands after smashing him with a right hand.

If Floyd hits so hard, why couldnt he hurt Maidana like Khan and Morales did? Or Victor Ortiz or Lopez?

Why couldn't he drop Cotto or Mosley like Pac did?

JMM was target practice and bloated why couldnt he stop him or drop him late?

    Floyd cant punch for ****

you just have to look at Canelo or Maidana's faces post fight

it looked as if they had been in a ping pong match instead of a fight

the only opponent he's been able to hurt legitimately was a gassed Cotto in the 12th

but Cotto's a damaged goods, fragile flower anyway

Floyd cant punch, i repeat, Floyd cant punch

BUT if turns out he can punch and hurt Pac come fight night, it can only mean one thing

Memo's PEDS are much better than we thought

Anyone can hurt anyone in boxing at any given moment, so yes it's possible that Floyd can hurt Manny enough to knock him down or out. Same goes for Manny hurting Floyd.

Except Paulie though, that guy can't punch himself out of a paper bag

The only reason people keep saying he hits harder than they expect because they expect him to hit like a girl. Of course mayweather will have a little more power than that but he's still not going to KO/stop you with it.

Mayweather doesn't have stopping power anymore. It's more his accuracy that make dudes hesitant to attack and not his so called underrated power.

    It's a myth that Floyd can't punch.

I don't know why this came about, maybe it's a tendency that people have to want to categorize things into definite boxes. Most casual fans still don't have the sophistication for lack of a better word, to realize that a fighter can be a very good technical boxer and still have a big punch. It does not help that a hit-and-not-get-hit approach yields so few opportunities for delivering bombs, and so this reinforces the myth in the minds of casual fans.

Floyd may not have the biggest punch in his weight class, but it does not mean his punches are soft. Under the right circumstances, his punches can deliver knockout power.

But, if this thread was made merely for trash-talking purposes, then I have wasted a few minutes of my time to make this post. If such is the case, ignore this post.

Floyd gets guys to open up, walk onto shots, etc. Plus he's fast and hits when you least expect it. Doesn't need that concussive through-the-guard power Kovalev/GGG/Thurman have.

It's different than getting bludgeoned, but getting smacked when you don't expect it can really hurt.

I still don't believe it. He hits harder than middle weights? And for how long until his hand gets broken?

Nah. I don't believe it. It's fishy how every person involved in Floyd's camp has to first bring up his punching power and how great it is. It's one thing to hear it over 5 years from sparring partners in tons of different fights. However, this is the first fight where Floyd's team seems so...obligated to talk about it.

I'm not saying he can't punch...I just don't think his power is comparable to Cotto's, Margarito's, and even 4th fight Marquez.
