Perder mi carrera me habría acabado.

They say that when everything looks darker in the light of dawn appears closer. After a day or black Guillermo Rigondeaux may experience a true rebirth of his career.

After a preliminary meeting with the high command of Top Rank, the Cuban left convinced that his professional boxing career in lethargy and will enter into a faster lane.

"We talked with executives of that company and its chairman, Bob Arum, and in principle agreed to direct my career,''said Rigondeaux, who on Wednesday received the hard news of the death of his mother on the island." With the remember I'm happy, because Top Rank is one of the most powerful boxing, if not more.''

It was learned that Top Rank would enter into partnership with Caribbean Promotions to run the race Rigondeaux, the same way that maintains an association with Arena Box in the case of Yuriorkis Gamboa.

In the meantime, lawyers for Top Rank will communicate as soon as possible with promoter Gary Hyde and their legal representatives to inform them that they can not block the participation of Cubans in the evening of June 4 will be broadcast across the country on ESPN2 chain .

"Top Rank's lawyers begin the work necessary to unlock the Rigondeaux way,''said Luis De Cubas, a promoter associated with Arena Box Promotions and Caribbean, and closely related to West Indian fighters." Now we can hope that Rigo fight before his audience in Miami.''

Hyde, an Irish developer takes his team to several Cubans, won in December last year, a judicial arbitration in a Miami court that he handed over the rights of Cuban driver's race.

According to Hyde, who chairs the organization NTH Promotions, Rigondeaux he signed a five-year contract in March 2007 that would apply if the boxer to take the path of professionalism.

According to this promoter, the plan to establish a training base for the Cuban in Ireland collapsed when Rigondeaux was arrested in Rio de Janeiro in August of that year during an escape attempt at the Pan American Games.

The Cuban (5-0, 4 K0) the Colombian Reinaldo Lopez face in the billboard will feature fellow Yudel Johnson and the debuting another prominent West Indian boxer who defected recently, Yordanis Ugás.

"After all I've been through these days, I feel that I deserved a good thing,''said Rigondeaux." My mother's death caused me great pain. Losing my career would be over. But now I feel that the worst is behind us.''

I hope this is good for Rigo but I have a bad feeling. At least we knew that Hyde only has the best intentions with Rigo.

Bad idea. IMO DiBella would've been much better. If not DiBella, Golden Boy then, but why oh why Top Rank?

This will be either a hard battle in court (who had favored Hyde before) or will end up costing a lot of money to buy Rigondeaux contract. It will not be easy.

Hopefully that is so. But he wasn't in shape for his last scheduled fight. Showed up for camp tonly wo weeks before. And why would they schedule fights without his manager? Especially when a court case is going on?

I still have a bad feeling. It sounds crooked. Don't know what to think about Hyde either anymore.

I'm all for whatever gets Rigo fighting on a regular basis. He is potetially a p4p fighter but at his age he needs to get a move on. When he turned pro I was hoping he would have been fast tracked and be on the verge of a title shot by now.

    Excellent news!

I surely didn't expect that but was hoping this guy gets something good since he clearly deserves it. This isn't great news for him only but for future fighters from Cuba.
