What you fail to see is that Canelo saw him off balance and dropped him with a simple jab. This displays that Canelo is smart enough to see an opening and able to capitalize on it. Considering how skilled Trout is this says alot for the kid.

Furthermore, Trout was not willing to sit down on his punches vs Canelo which tells you that he respects Canelo's power and counter skills.

Overall, Canelo beat the man that nobody wants to fight.

I don't see any active fighter KOing Floyd when he's in full safety first mode, you'd have to at least match him in speed. I see Floyd potshotting his way to a wide UD. If Canelo manages to do this he'll be huge, but I doubt it. I'm rooting for Canelo and will be content with a close UD loss...he has a lot to learn. I already accepted that idiot Quincys ban bet in another thread yet he keeps on bringing it up to other posters. Theres no ****ing way Floyd will KO Canelo, he's gonna be hitting and moving. Canelos not dumb enough to walk face first into Floyd's shots either ala Hatton.

In the video replay you see Canelo was able to time him and throw a perfect counter right under Trouts punch...this kid is really impressive wow!!!!

I've watched this fight 20+ times, Trout got his **** pushed in almost every round, try waching it without the commentary, cause those commentators we're acting like Trout was their best friend. God awful biased BULL****. They were saying Trout was doing well when he wasn't landing anything. After getting knocked down+hit a few more times, instead of complimenting the ginger, they kept on about how amazing it was Trout was still fighting.

I didn't see one punch that rocked Canelo, not one, but I see more than one every round land on Austin. Canelo was coasting from round 8, knew he was winning, was barely trying.

well, im in mexico and in the mexican bar i was in it was very quiet after the sixth round. a sense of relief after the knockdown.

perhaps you forgot that feeling that you had after the sixth round where canelito was all but average.

    doesnt matter .

hes losing and 9/14 and is going to made to look very average as he is no better than lara, vanes, molina or rosado.

canelo threw just 431 punches and landed just 124.

compare that to hopkins dismal showing against dawson in the rematch where he landed just 106 punches and threw just 400.

canelto, who as you say pushed trouts **** in every round, threw eight percent more punches than hopkins and landed just 25 percent more.

    that is some awesome performance?

    just 431 punches thrown?

    just 131 landed?

    unbelieveable.

ffs, prime margo and paq used to throw 1000 punches.

    that...is pushing someones **** in.

It was a right hand and trout wasnt off balance. It shows nothing except he caught trout with a good shot.

Floyd is gonna beat the **** outta Canelo... son him.

If anything, we should be worried about Canelo's fanbase, who are experts at making excuses...

I am a Mayweather fan and I think he will dominate Alvarez, but that is not because he is a chump. I don't know of a better fight floyd could have made. There is just no one who can beat mayweather. The only way is to knock him out or knock him down several times in a fight. The person to take floyd's 0 will have to be a real one shot ko type fighter. Who has the power to KO floyd with one punch? Alvarez, no way. Matthysse, maybe.

As much as I hate Mayweather, he will make Canelo look like a fool.

Lol at canelo fans throwing a parade over one knockdown. Do you remember when wilfredo rivera floored fernando vargas? Does it mean anything?

I have a good eye for talent and canelo reminds me of Bute and Alexander. I say this bcuz i remember when lucian and devon had the same crazy hype here, all saying bute will destroy ward and devon was supossed to outclass timmy. I always said they werent thaaat good and i was right.

As with devon & bute, no matter how much canelo fights i watch, i still don't see what's so special about him. When you watch rising future stars like mikey garcia, ggg, russell jr and rigo, thats impresive
