Don't let the fanboyism get the better of you. It's going to be a close fight if neither fighter is knocked out.

Let me remind you guys Floyd struggled with Judah in the first 4 rounds before Judah tired out and lost his confidence. Floyd also arguably lost the first fight to Maidana and beat him 8-4 in the rematch.

People want to point out that Floyd is better than JMM, but JMM is an aggressive counter-puncher who has been in the ring with Pacquiao 36 rounds prior to the 4th fight. That's a lot of experience fighting 1 fighter.

Manny likewise won't have an easy time with Floyd. He's going to press the attack and be more aggressive, but he's not going to have the same success as he did with Algeri. He can outwork Floyd and win rounds, but can he keep pace for 12 rounds?

I would not be surprised if the fight is a SD or MD for either fighter and you guys shouldn't either.

I can't understand how some people bring up Marquez as a legitimate comparison to Mayweather. Sure, they're both counter punchers, but they DON'T counter punch the same nor do they select the same punches either. Marquez was forced to open up to land his own against Pacquiao and suffered knockdowns and a concussion in the process. Pacquiao has never lost one-sided to anyone, even in his losses he was giving his opponents hell. Mayweather will have to open up in this one to land clean shots and it will be the first time he ever deals with someone as fast as Pacquiao who's also a southpaw to boot.

I'll be genuinely shocked if this fights ends up being one-sided for either fighter.

if mayweather wins it will be like the maidana rematch, or closer.

if pac wins, it will be more decisive like the bradley rematch or better.

    that;s my take.

So you think whoever wins, it will be clear and decisive?

I agree thoroughly with both of you.

Unless one of them gets hurt early or simply doesn't show up, they are most likely to do as their histories would indicate.

That means they present problems for each other that will not be overcome quickly on either side.

    A prolonged battle of wills.

well, if it's closer than the maidana fight, then it's not going to be clear and decisive.

while the pac win, i think, it could be decisive to a dominant one.

i jst think that in the style matchup, pacman has the advantage.

of course, floyd can adapt and change his style, so maybe he will change his style fighitng a southpaw this time.

of course it will be a close fight, so they can fight at least a rematch and a rubber match after that.

I think the most dangerous punch from Manny will be the counter right hand, the same punch that put Hatton down the first time.

Floyd has had problems seeing that punch coming in the past. Judah put him down with a counter right. And Ortiz actually stunned Floyd a couple times with the right while he was coming in. I wonder if he can avoid the punch all night.

For Manny, he's got to look out for the right hand.

He could end up being pre-occupied with the left, the counter right could well cause Floyd some issues.

Floyd's right is obviously an issue for Pac. I'd be surprised if Roach hasn't developed a strategy to neutralise that.

Roach is a big part of that, I firmly believe he knows how to beat Floyd with Pac.

Of course there is a big difference between the map and the terrain, as they say.
