Haye will win a lopsided unuanimous decision and or score a late KO against Chagaev who does not have the hand speed to trouble Haye.

This fight will be less competitive than the Ruiz fight because Ruiz showed tremendous heart. After that fight, Haye needs about 2-3 more fights before getting ready for Wlad. A Vitali fight should not be an option for Haye.

2 to 3 more fights??? that'll take about 4 years!

So basically he should wait until Wlad is completely past his prime!

Not to mention, Haye wants to retire in less than two years. Has stated it repeatedly, if I'm not mistaken.

Chagaev was better against Valuev than Haye, he can take a solid punch and is stylewise not Haye's best matchup. It's a 50/50 bout if you ask me.

I think well of Chagaev, but I do favor Haye maybe 60/40. He's so damn fast. He's got the edge in freshness, power and speed. Chagaev has a skill and chin edge, imo.

Based on Haye's current activity level, that is more like 1-2 years.

Haye is definitely more skilled than Chagaev. Chjagaev is pretty much average, he does everything good but nothing exceptional. The fight he fought against Wlad was a garbish.

Yeah, I completely disagree. I view Haye as the better natural athlete but to me Chag's ring IQ is superior and far above average. And if you're talking about average for this current crop, I think you're ****ing nuts if you think he's an average fighter. Although, I agree I don't think he does any one thing so exceptionally. And yes, he was shutout against Wlad. Haye has never been challenged similarly, so I wouldn't gauge Haye's skill level compared to Chagaev's from that of all things.

Chagaev's gonna whoop that arse! KO/TKO, I reckon.

Not really. Haye himself isnt exceptionally skilled, he's fast , explosive and carries Huge power. But his defense sux, he rarely put punches in combinations, doesnt have much of a jab. And thats what makes fighter skilled, not how he looks like.

Well maybe we can count his footwork which is decent if we re talking about skill.

Chagaev's reputation is born out of two very close wins, one against past prime Ruiz and the other against Valuev ( whom we all know now he ain't very good). Other than that he does not have a lot of notable opponents on his resume. He got beaten soundly against Wlad and delivers average performances against the likes of Mehan and that fat old english fighter. You simply overestimate Chagaev..
