Yes but this is professional boxing. There used to be fighters that presented a style that matched up well against a boxer, and took them out of their comfort zone, creating an exciting fight. Great fighters with conflicting styles, makes for a great fight. Wlad has shown he is vulnerable when presented with this scenario even against the most limited opposition. It hard to stomach calling him great, or putting him on a level where he doesnt belong, when he has fallen apart so many times. These are the type of fights that define fighters, and all this talk from Emanuel Steward about how good he has become needs to be put to the test. We know Wlad is big tall and strong and can outbox all these mid level contenders, but what happens when hes presented with someone who will pose some resistance and not look to get impailed on his jab from the outside.
Lennox Lewis was hyped the same way in the early 90's and was really in the same boat, but he proved himself by taking on some fighters that would help answer some question about his ability to fight all styles, something Wlad hasnt done. Thats not to say its his fault the division is so shallow, but from his past performances, against limited guys, Im not sure. His people should be fighting every brawler they can get their hands on, and Im 100% sure thats what Emanuel Steward wants as well, because he knows those questions are still unanswered.

He Fights how u are supposed to fight if u cant take punches very well, its not his fault that his opponents cant do anything about it.

Most fans want exiting fights but real boxing is mostly about skill imo

well there in lies the problem. the divison is so weak that, wlad, with all his shortcomings, can still be dominant because who else is there. there next best heavywieght is his own brother. so boring and all, he still the best there is right now. in another era, he might not even be a top then ranked heavy.

Wlad is a good boxer, his problem is that he lacks drama

Yep, I dont think there is anyone out there that can erase his past losses in my mind, even if he fought everyone. We have a fat Mexican with no defense, and a big mouth Brit cruiserweight thats already been knocked out, that at least talk a good game, but they havent shown me much in the ring, especially Arreola.
Sometimes this works out better for these guys. Had Lennox Lewis fought Bowe after Bowe won the title, he would have probably gotten knocked out and his career would have been a lot different. He was horribly balanced and relied on one big right hand and his jab was average at best at that time. His work with Steward and the available fighters at the time helped him evolve into a great fighter.
To me Wladmir would have had a tough time dealing with guys like Rahman, Tua, Izon, Mcall, Golota, and Ibeabuchi, had he been in the mix with those guys in the early parts of their careers, when they were all fighting each other. I just dont think he will ever have the coordination to be an inside fighter, hes too big.

Wladimir obviously doesn't want to lose again so he's not taking any chances... The guy has been down four times in less than six minutes, carried by referee Robert Byrd back to his corner after having his opponent Lamon Brewster almost out of there the round before, he fell again 3 times against a guy who lost every single round other than those... Don't expect Klitschko to adapt and improvise, no, no, no... Manny Steward and his personal trainers have built a sound ring strategy to keep on winning and that's how he expects to erase the memory of those upsets he suffered... But no single plan is perfect against everybody all of the time.

agreed with the latter part. when they were some better heavys, wlad have been really tested but now, hes got nobody to put pressure on him, he had no serious threat.

Wlad is good, but vulnerabale, so he fights in a manner that excentuates his positves, and effectivly eliminates the negatives. Not much excitement or drama, but effective.
At least he shows up in condition, and generally doesn't brag or run his mouth.

Lewis got KTFO twice and was losing a fair amount of rounds until late in his career. Manny adapted him as he did Wlad to a safe style that wins. What's wrong with that?

True, but he is in the entertainment business too, they are paying him millions to entertain people. Obviously HBO doesnt think either one of them is entertaining enough for the US market. I tend to agree. I guess we've been spoiled.

I firmly believe that what Wlad does to people is a whole lot worse than knocking them out in a couple rounds. In terms of destroying, the beatings he delivers do a lot more long-term damage than if he just threw a bomb and got them out of there.

Watch out guys... I can sense a farmbot spam coming up any time soon... In case you weren't aware of the entire amatuer and professional history of the Klitschko brothers, you're about to get educated by force.
