Patterson retired in 1972, Foreman turned pro in 1969. If they fought in 1969-1970, could Patterson with his greater skill and experience have out boxed Foreman or is this an opponent Patterson would always be doomed against?

No way Patterson has anything for george. Too big, too strong, too scary.

Gregorio Peralta, Levi Forte and Roberto Davila managed to last the distance with him in 69/70. Peralta, a lightheavy, actually frustrated George over 10 rounds. Is it so hard to see Patterson, to at least, do as well?

If you pick a green enough Foreman, then Patterson probably wins.

Foreman is only human at the end of the day.

Gregorio Peralta is underrated, plus he could move for 10 rounds. Patterson, at that age, moves for 5-6 rounds, but at some point he stops and sees shades of the Sonny Liston fights.
