One of the better Belgian boxers in the last decade, Ismail Abdoul, will retire after his 99th bout this Saturday vs Janne Forsman. Abdoul, who holds a record of 58 wins (20 KO's), 37 (1 KO), 3 draws has shared the ring with multiple (former) light heavyweight, cruiserweight and heavyweight champions and has only been stopped once by Krzysztof Wlodarczyk in 2002 (think the referee stepped in but no knockdowns). I wish him all the best after having a good career :good
His resume is pretty insane and the fact he has only been stopped once in 98 fights when you factor in the amount of good fighters and bangers he's been in there against is extremely impressive. Marco Huck David Haye Yoan Pablo Hernandez Krzysztof Glowacki x2 Mike Perez Tomasz Adamek Krzysztof Wlodarczyk Enzo Maccarinelli Murat Gassiev Iago Kiladze Mateusz Masternak Giacobbe Fragomeni Mairis Briedis Dmytro Kucher Michal Cieslak Micki Nielsen Vincenzo Cantatore Ruediger May Don Diego Poeder x2 Enad Licina Goran Delic Alexey Trofimov Tomasz Hutkowski Rudolf Kraj Lukasz Janik Dawid Kostecki Richard Towers Rob Norton Lots of those guys can either punch or are legit bangers. And he's fought numerous other up and coming prospects too. I heard he was down in the 12th prior to the ref waving it off against Wlodarczyk, but maybe I'm remembering that wrong. The guy obviously has an iron chin and is as tough as old boots though.
Apparently 99 is a symbolic number of the Islam or something, that's why he wanted to retire after 99 bouts.
