Did you ever experience this, wherein you were having a good day in training? In sparring, you have a good time. It seems as if your dominating. You dont get tired. Then the next time you go to the gym, you get tired easily, you get your ass handed to you in sparring. Has anyone ever experienced this????

Yes, that happens. That's when you know you gotta get back to it harder. It also has to do with your partners going through that up-and-down feeling too.

Dude, I really dont get to spar with the students that much since the students in the gym that I go to really just go there to lose weight. As is the case, I only get to spar with the trainers there. Sometimes I have a good day, but most of the time they always whip my ass.

Only you and long time coach understand your body but more so you. Keeping yourself ticking over is not easy. Just think about how taxing fighting is and try imagining your body being peak EVERY single time. Sparring and fighting alike, you'll never be 100% but experience will help you to get as close to 100% as possible...

...and sometimes you'll be 110% and everything will fall into place.

I never really feel like i have bad days when it comes to just conditioning, but the other day sparring, i was losing to seemingly everyone. even the people i beat on a regular basis. it was extremely frustrating and made me feel pretty worthless for a while, but i guess everyone has some off days.

It has alot to do with the physical state of your body, the state of your mind, and what you have done during the day. Sometimes your body is recovering from a previous workout, and is not quite 100% yet. Your mind may not be in it completely either. Maybe you didn't eat the right foods or something happened during the day that is taxing either your mind or body. On days when you are sparring or fighting you should pay attention to what you do the day before, and the day of, and once you feel 100% on one of those days, try making it a routine.

Thats my story. I burnout my energy in a week and then take a day or few off. All the "hunger" and excitement returns and im good to go. I do find motivation if i need to but yea.

Yea, and I've talked to quite a few people about this issue. And alot of the answers I get, is linked to the mind state you were in, and/or your food intake difference among a few other things.

But I'm sure there could be quite a few other reasons too. As in, no two sparring sessions/training sessions, have the same EXACT intensity, so mix that in as well, and you have quite a few factors that could have been different from the good training day.
