Douglas lost and quit, but didn't avoid Tyson even though Tyson was calling him out for a rematch? Yes makes perfect sense.

Lenni's major wins are all over has been, shot fighters ie Tyson and holyfield. Tyson and Lewis have so many common opponents, its funny that when lenni beat them they were considered great wins but when Tyson beat them convincingly long before lenni got to them they were all considered members of bum squad.

Douglas quit boxing and refused a rematch with Tyson despite don King and Tyson wanting a rematch. This cannot be held against Tyson.

Tyson was not the same fighter when he lost to holyfield and lewis. 3 years of jail time finished him.

Sure they were shot. Bruno, Rahman, Tua, Vitali, Mercer, Grant, Golota were all on their last legs which is why they all fought on successfully for years afterwards:lol:

And why should Buster have given Tyson an immediate rematch? Tyson and King carried on like total whining beaches when Buster laid Mike out and Buster was well and truly justified in making them wait the hell in line, after all he was the man now. That said Tyson and King could've trumped the 24 mil Buster was receiving to meet Holyfield if they were that desperate for the rematch. Funnily enough considering how badly Buster outclassed Tyson I'm not all that sure they were that desperate.

The 3 year ruined him did they?

Of course Holyfield's wars with Bowe, Cooper, Dokes, Qawi, Foreman had him as fresh as a daisy by the time he fought Tyson did they?

In fact the Holyfield fight was a piece of judicious matchmaking for Tyson in theory considering Evander's age and the far greater amount of ring wear and tear he had endured but for one thing, that being Holyfield being a flat out tougher and greater fighter than Tyson ever was.

First of all, all heavyweights can punch, barring a few exceptions.

Understand that Tyson was stopped by Buster Douglas, a fighter who really has hardly any reputation for stopping anyone of note, nor scoring any knockdowns against notable opponents, nor of being any sort of BIG puncher.

Even the "big punchers" Tyson beat hardly had any good KO wins between them, mostly lacking the skill, technique and the daring to be good finishers.
James "Bonecrusher" Smith is probably the most accomplished puncher Tyson ever met, and he was a journeyman really.

It's a bit harsh on Frazier to say he only faced "one puncher". If so, how many "punchers" did Tyson actually face ?

    Bruno
    Ruddock x 2
    Smith
    All noted punchers.

Joe faced one and lost badly.

Sorry, but I disagree there, Lewis resume doesn't really **** over Tysons as much as people make out.

Lewis avenged his losses and has wins over Vitali and Holyfield and Tyson himself, I give him that, but overall their resumes are similar.

How are you going to include Smith and not Bonavena? Quarry, Bonavena, Foster could all bang.

The same version of Holmes who hadn't fought in two years.

Puhlease. In that case, I could have added another dozen names to Tyson's list.

Smith landed one meaningful shot in their encounter and it stunned Tyson, Tyson never fought anyone close to the finishing ability of George Foreman either.

Yeah, that could well happen. Not sure I'd give Frazier less of a chance than Louis against Tyson, though. Prime Mike was an animal. Not sure I'd favor any prior champ against him. Ali and Holmes would both be intriguing match-ups against him, though.
