Not Tyson's fault at all. King messed things up by trying to strip Douglas of the belts, negating any chance of a rematch from happening. Remember, once Holyfield beat Douglas the Duvas felt it was their obligation to let Tyson wait it out since they felt King had done the same to them in the past. King then had Tyson face #2 contender Ruddock in hopes that the WBC would strip Holyfield of their belt. Then King ordered the Tyson-Ruddock rematch while Foreman wanted a second crack at Holyfield. Both Tyson and Holyfield used Foreman for leverage until Tyson was sick of King's antics and came thisclose to leaving King if he didn't give him a shot at Holyfield. Foreman would get the shot at eh winner.

The above is all common knowledge.

There are lies. Then there are damned lies. Your post contains both. Douglas retired after losing to Holy for 6 years, and only came back when the money ran out. By which time Tyson was about to get another sound beating by,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,yep, you guessed it. HOLYFIELD.

You don't believe Douglas refused a rematch with Tyson?

    More lies.

There was no rematch clause, hence Douglas being a 42 - 1 underdog. He fought Holy, lost, then retired. So come on Einstein tell us what would be the point of re-matching Douglas when Holy was the champion up until November 92, by which time Tyson was firmly ensconced in prison for ****.

A tip. If you are going to be a good liar, you need either to be a lot cleverer than the people you are lying to, or you need to have a very good memory, especially for dates, and statistics.

It is only common knowledge to Tyson fanboys because they WANT to believe it.

They fed Tillman to Tyson in June 90 to try to rebuild his confidence after Tokyo. By the time he fought Stewart in November, Douglas had already lost his crown to Holyfield. So there was NEVER any chance of a rematch. Tyson was arrested for r*ping Desiree Washington 8 months later, so his 2 fights with Ruddock in March, and June 91 had nothing to do with anything because Holy held the belts.

Between his arrest in July 91, and his getting locked up in March 92 he wasn't going to be fighting anyone, especially not Douglas, because it meant nothing.

So your conspiracy theory though entertaining is nothing more than a theory.

    :rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl

Tyson couldn't have weighed 248 at age 23 if he had put on 3 Crombie overcoats and jumped in the Hudson river you fool.

He didn't even weigh 190 when he came out of jail, aged 28.

OF COURSE there was a chance for Douglas to rematch Tyson...it should've occurred anywhere from February - October of 1990. Usually the new champion gives the former champion a rematch but in this case Holyfield had been waiting for a title opportunity for almost a year and was next in line.

What conspiracy theory? I never said Douglas should've rematched Tyson after he lost to Holyfield! It would be pointless to a degree. YOU are stating Tyson had never won a rematch when he had the chance to regain his title from Douglas but Buster didn't want anything to do with Don King. This is common knowledge to anyone worth a damn. Instead of calling us Tyson fanboys it would be correct to acknowledge basic facts when presented to you. You can't prove what I'm stating as incorrect so go ahead and try if you want.

Tyson was known to beef up and put on excess amount of weight between fights pre prison. Well documented and observed by EVERYONE who was around at the time. Where does it say Tyson weighed 190 coming out of prison in 1995?

There wasn't rematch clause but Douglas was a Don King fighter under his banner. Douglas did get sued by King for refusing to defend against a fighter from King's stable, Mike Tyson being the main protagonist. Douglas paid King a hefty sum just to be able to fight Holyfield. Are you going to deny this as well?

Rematch clause or not. A warrior never behind legal excuses and clauses for refusing to rematch certain opponents. Bottomline is douglas did not want a rematch with Tyson just like lenni did not want a rematch with Vitali. Spin it as much as you want that oh they didn't deserve to give a rematch to him but the fact remains that Tyson wanted the rematch with douglas and it is not how fault that it didn't happen

But isn't holmes the proud more professional fighter who never disrespected an opponent and would never turn up in the ring without being a 100% prepared to fight?

Nat Fleisher called Oscar Bonavena the most powerful heavyweight he ever saw.

Yes because Smith saw and trained with Frazier in his prime.... His opinion is no more logical than mine or yours.

Did Tyson ever face a murderous, early round killing machine who was a physical monster like George Foreman??
