I just saw someone post that Tyson would knock out Frazier in one round. Tyson is doing to a prime Frazier what a prime foreman couldn't do to a passed it Frazier.

If Tyson allows Frazier to take him into deep water then Joe wins by ko late. However that does not happen. Tyson knows Joe was an exceedingly slow starter and jumps all over him early. Fight does not go two rounds. Joe just too easy to hit and Prime Tyson hit like a hammer.

It’s really a 5to5 fantasy fight. tyson could take the win in early rounds . but if Frazier came out vicious like in first Ali fight, Frazier can win by mid late rounds. H2H Frazier around 210ib prime Tyson around 215ib~220ib but Tyson peaked much earlier.

both hard to hit both hit hard.both like to bob and weave Frazier likes to go up-down,tyson likes to left-right.both were vulnerable to uppercut.foreman’s uppercut dropped Frazier. Tyson was caught with uppercut by less uppercuter plenty of times just ask tillis and tucker. Tyson also had pretty good uppercut so tyson’s uppercut is dangerous for frazier .frazier’s left hook is dangerous for tyson who likes to bob n weave and throw a wide open hook .defense wise tyson had more complete defense ,Frazier showed to be more crafty and more consistent against better opponents. both style would sometimes run into punches. Footwork the same Tyson could create more angles and could close the distance slightly quicker ,Frazier could cut the ring off better at least on a much more consistent basis and against better opponents.
Frazier’s chin is underrated .Frazier fought big punchers like Buster Mathis Oscar bonavena bob foster George foreman. ONLY got dropped by bonavena when he was green and the top3 most devastating puncher in boxing history George foreman, always got up was never truly out. Neverwent down taking tremendous amount of punishment from Ali who had a hard cross when he sits down to it .
Tyson could take some punishment form Frazier ,Frazier could take some punishment from prime Tyson too it took tons of prime Tyson punches to stop Jose ribalta pinklon Thomas Jess Ferguson .and he didn’t even stop mitch green James tillis. Prime Tyson’s power is far from Prime foreman’s . And as Tyson peaked in the early 20s his chin and power wasn’t as good as him during later stage of his career.
Anyway, Tyson bit more speed more explosive more tool bit bigger, similar power . Frazier much stronger mentally and much more stamina more durable. And Frazier was a complete inside fighter tyson was a half inside half midrange fighter.one of tyson’s biggest flaws was his work rate ,it would be the end of him if his opponent is likes of Frazier and tua who kept coming like machine.

Don't forget Frazier was blind in one eye so he couldn't see some of Big George's punches. I see a perfect seeing Frazier hitting Tyson harder than he ever was hit.

Maybe that's because he never fought him?

Mathis wasnt a big puncher, and neither was Bonavena compared to Ruddock,Smith,Bruno all who failed to drop Tyson. Frazier fought 1 top level puncher and was as dropped multiple times in both fights, and did not win a round in either before being rescued by the referee.

Not blind, he had a detached retina. There are more excuses for Frazier's brief time at the top than just about any other heavyweight champ.Finished at 29 etc, yet he looked much the same in the Quarry rematch.

Having a detached retina is why he couldn't see some of the punches then.
