Search about the test of the punchers un the early 90s.
Tommy morrison was asked about the hardest puncher that he fought in a radio interview. And do you imagine what he said? Yes bingo!!! Foreman.

I personally don't think that Frazier could have withstood the assault that Lewis laid on Tyson for as long as it lasted, I don't think many fighters could. One can speculate how hard Ruddock hit in comparison to Foreman, but Lewis certainly isn't far beyond him, and he was hitting Tyson with some clean shots repeatedly.

It actually wouldn't surprise me at all, if the Foreman of the 90's threw single punches harder than the Foreman of the 70's and he could very well have been the hardest puncher of all time.

But the chances of getting hit by one are dramatically less than was the case when Foreman was in his prime and throwing combos. But Moore found out the hard way that it only took one punch to be completely laid out.

That's not undisputed by any means. Many have said Shavers was the hardest puncher of that era.

The ref imo was a factor in why it went that long. Also People forget that Lewis injured his hand in that bout. If he hadn't, it wouldn't have went nearly as long. Lewis would've ended things much quicker Also, Tyson wouldn't have survived manila or especially those clean shots Frazier ate from Foreman. Some of which, he took without even going down.

I'm referring to the 90s not 70s. And according to Pugilist_Spec, it is.

With shavers the one shot ko power is debatable. The no debatable thing is that forman did hit hard with a wider ****nal And was miles better finisher overall foreman was the much better puncher

Hard to say. I don't think either fighter had a huge chin advantage over the other. This is basically splitting hairs. Yes, I realize Lewis hurt his hand in that bout, but nevertheless, he still hit Tyson with some horrific punches, and did Ruddock and as did Douglas. So like I said, I don't see the chin of either fighting determining the outcome of this mythical fight.

No argument from me. I'm not going to say Big George couldn't punch that's for damn sure. He also had the much better chin.

This is all a diversion from the main argument though, which is that Tyson took heavy shots from Razor Ruddock extremely well whereas Frazier took heavy shots from Foreman extremely poorly. A reasonable person can compare the two and conclude that Tyson had a better chin.

Using late attrition kos as evidence that Tyson had chin problems seems pretty disingenuous, tbh.

More on topic, while Ruddock may not have hit as hard as Liston and Foreman, I do think Ruddock threw left hooks every bit as hard as Frazier and in fact harder and Tyson withstood those extremely well as the fight on this thread demonstrates.
