It's rather clear Tyson didn't have heart, denying that is plain bias.

Bonavena probably hit harder than Douglas anyway.

Douglas was only a fair puncher at best but put Tyson down for the count admittedly after beating Tyson's head in for 9 rounds beforehand. But Tyson fans would have you believe his chin was virtually impregnable and it wasn't. It was very, very good but wasn't that much better than Joe's imo although his defense was better than Joe's.

I doubt Tyson remains standing if he shipped the punishment Frazier did against Foreman either.

I don't give any version of Douglas any chance against a peak Frazier either for what it's worth.

Tyson will obliterate frazier with combinations, left hook, right hands and upper cuts. Frazier apart from his left hook and his inferior, predictable bobbing weaving style has nothing to offer.

Ali was no massive puncher himself.

I completely disagree. He rarely even quite without taking a horrific beating. Nobody who doesn't have heart goes life and death with Ruddock twice, and takes prolonged beatings from Douglas and Lewis. Too bad it wasn't you on the other end of those punches, then I'm sure you'd have a different opinion.

Heart is something Mike Tyson lacked, Mike quit on his stool in his last fight against a little known fighter named Kevin McBride. No great fighter would ever quit on his stool. Frazier got up from six knockdowns against Foreman, that demonstrated heart. Holyfield in his wars with Bowe personified heart, but Tyson when faced with adversity, resorted to fouls and humiliated himself with the exact opposite of what we consider "heart".

Mike quoted Cus D'amato (RIP) in saying that "a brave man and a coward feel the same, it's their actions that define them", but when it came time in his career to show heart, Mike showed the lack of it.

What foul did he commit against douglas, Lewis, Williams and McBride? You have to be an absolute idiot to hold the McBride fight against him when he was just fighting to pay his bills.

And let's not pretend holyfield was a clean fighter, I can post a YouTube video showing the fouls he committed in the Tyson fight.

The definition of heart is staying on your feet for 10 plus rounds and not being staggered inspite of taking jab after jab, left hook after left hook, right hand after right hand, upper cut after upper cut to the face. Any human being will eventually go down because of the accumulation factor and stamina issues.

Frazier showed no heart at all in the foreman fight, heck lyle showed more heart, atleast he got up and did something rather than getting up only to go down like a little girl with effortless ease.

Like I said, I show examples of why I disagree with this assessment. As to the McBride fight before criticising Tyson you have to ask yourself what was Frazier doing at aged 38? He probably was in a hot tub drinking a beer.

Frazier`s bobbing style of defense would be bad against an explosive puncher like Mike Tyson. The uppercuts that Foreman caught Joe with would be coming much faster and in combination.

I love Joe and I think he beats some other great heavyweights but Tyson isn`t one of them.

    PS

Frazier may beat post prison Tyson because Mike was a 3 round fighter by then nowhere near what he once was.

Yeah Frazier showed no heart against Foreman you utter re ****.

He only kept getting up, even though he was badly hurt and kept right on coming against a fukking monsterous puncher, basically purely on instinct. He didn't sit on his ars e fumbling for a mouthpiece or resort to biting someone's ear off because he was getting beaten unlike someone else we all know.

Heart is keeping on getting up when hurt, keeping on trying to win, still fighting while half blind, never quitting, never resorting to fouls etc etc. Frazier would've rather die than do what Tyson did against McBride for one.

I don't know who wins this but if it came down to a battle of wills between Tyson and Frazier then I'd bet the house on Joe.

I've stated MULTIPLE TIMES that users on yahoo always copy and paste each other's answers and claim it as theirs. You obviously have no life. You haven't posted in nearly a month, despite being online everyday. Get off my **** man. You can't have me. I'm just putting you on ignore again.

Out of interest do you think Ruddock even managed to throw and land as many punches in both of his fights with Tyson as Douglas did in just the one fight with him?

Show us how he fought back gamely when he was getting hit in the way he was against Holy, Douglas, and Lewis, not when he is landing 4 and taking the odd one in return.

In fact just show us a fight in which he was getting well beaten and turned it around to win.
