I am fully aware what style is. I am fully aware of what it takes to beat all broad styles of fighting. I am fully aware what is advantageous against each style. Mostly I am aware each style can beat each other style. So what is Style advantage? Having an advantage using a style against another style where the boxer can have the advantage every bit as much?

Every coach I have known will advise pretty much the same things. An individual style evolves for each individual. A fighter dosnt even get to chose his own style it evolves through learning what works for him.

Advantages are physical, technical or ability. A very good infighter actually has amazing ability. But there are variations on ability and that is where the advantage lays. Not within the style. Especially when almost every style is a hybrid of what each individual takes from all of the broad styles of fighting.

All I can think is that this fan expression “style advantage” refers to styles of boxers with different physical attributes, different technical ability within their styles.

Bottom line Marciano was down for a 3 count against Walcott and for a 4 count against Moore.
