Frazier maybe didn't cut but his face also could be swollen!
Ali said Marciano was better than Joe Frazier. (Interview with Howard Cosell, on Youtube)

George Foreman rated Marciano higher, pointing out that Frazier had a great left hook but Marciano could hit equally hard with either hand.

Archie Moore was asked to compare Frazier with Marciano, just prior to Joe’s fight with Jimmy Ellis. Moore said, “Frazier is a big, strong kid, but he’s no Rocky Marciano. Marciano was the strongest man, bar none, that I ever got in the ring with. And I fought some strong men.”

So you are saying prime Louis was bigger with more dimensions than that overweight bulked up old guy holding the bag? I'll take a pound of it thanks.

Peak Louis was 6'1 1/2" with a 76" reach and about 200 pounds. Peak Liston was 6'1 with an 84" reach and about 212 pounds.

Peak Louis was 6ft 2 with reach 76 while Liston was 6ft with 84 inch reach!
Louis was 197-205 in his prime and Liston was 209-212!
That proves that Liston got longer hands but he was not bigger man!
Louis is taller and wider man

Why not stretch things a little further. Louis was 6'3 and Liston 5' 11".

Louis in his greatest performance was sub 199 pounds. Depending on how you like 1 and 2 Liston was either 213 or 215 1'2.

Liston is simply bigger and arguing to the contrary is quite frankly embarrassing.

197-207 is where Louis was in his prime.

Louis made 207 just once before the war.

By the same scale Liston's prime was about 211-218. He's comfortably 10 pounds heavier minimum every day of the week.

John, you appear to forget that putting an exclamation mark after every sentence gives a post much more credence.

Joe Louis was one and a quarter pounds under 200lb against Max Schmeling, but even by then he had weighed 200lb or higher nine times already! Louis was a big man who trained down.

In the nine fights Louis had of the 1941-1942 season, his championship prime, Louis was over 200lb in all but one fight where he was half a pound inside 200. His weights were 202, 203, 202, 201, 199, 202, 206, 207 so he was hardly sub 200lb fighter anymore.

Saying Sonny Liston was a bigger fighter than Louis is really a negligible point. He was a big man, a monster compared to Patterson though. But so would have Joe Louis by comparison.

Louis was 6 feet one and a half inches.Liston 6 feet one inch.
    Liston was bigger in
    Neck
    Chest
    Biceps
    Forearm
    Fist
    Reach
He was the bigger man,and it's not even debateable.

Yes. It’s a negligible point. Sonny was noticeably shorter.

I refuse to continue with someone debating out of complete intellectual dishonesty. Better things to do with my time.

    Good day.
