When will people learn learn boxing logic hardly applies to Manny Pacquiao? He loses in ALL fantasy fights.

That is the reason why Floyd wants to keep Mayweather-Pacquiao just that... a fantasy.

Lightweight Juan Manuel Marquez (51-5-1, 37 KOs), who lost a unanimous decision to Mayweather last year and fought to a draw and a split-decision loss to Pacquiao, believes Mayweather’s smarter and faster. He said, "He has the great defense. He can move, move, move. Pacquiao has the power, but Mayweather has the intelligence, the speed and the counter punches."

I wonder why Marquez made a point about Floyd's speed. Didn't he say a few months ago that emmanuel has quicker hands.?:huh

    Loss in translation......

I've heard it from Marquez' own words.

Marquez has said Mayweather is quicker, Pacquiao is faster with combinations because Pacquiao just throws more punches.

On another occasion, Marquez said that everything Mayweather does has a purpose, where as Pacquiao in many instances just is throwing caution to the wind.

Now what Marquez may have meant in that quote is that Mayweather is faster and smarter with his feet. Footwork......which is why he say's "move move move"

I'm not sure why people always say things about their common opposition and how Pac is way better based on that. To me that would only further Floyd's case. Floyd fought de la Hoya and Hatton each 18 months before Pac did. You cannot compare who fought the more dangerous versions of de la Hoya (154 lbs.) and Hatton (undefeated). As for Marquez, I will not say that is even one of Floyd's 8 or 9 best wins, but it wasn't a draw and it was nowhere close to controversial.

They did, but they did so not knowing how good a welter Pacquiao could be, afterall he was climbing 3 weight classes to face DLH.
If you remember correctly, just about every ******* on this board to a man picked DLH to beat Pacquiao as well.

......also note that those same experts have favored Pacquiao in every one of his fights since that DLH fight.
.....yet when it comes to Pacquiao facing Mayweather, it seems that it will change and it will be Mayweather the favorite with most boxing scribes.

There are no suprises or X factors in this particular Mayweather vs Pacquiao fight as everyone picking already knows what each fighter is capbable of at
    147 lbs.

Floyd has the skills to beat Pac.

He is the most skilled and talented boxer of the past few years.

But Pac is not too far behind.

And Pac has one card up his sleeve her.

Floyd fears him, and Floyd has never feared any previous opponent. He's ducked one or two, but not out of fear.

To clarify, I don't believe any boxer at this level is physically afraid of getting hurt.

Floyd is afraid of losing and what that would do to his legacy and psyche.

He probably knows he should be able to beat Pac, but, for the first time since he won a title, he has that little nagging doubt.

    Hence all his dodging shenanigans.

And if Pac can take advantage of that fear early, he can capitalize on it sufficiently to knock a few percent off the skill difference.

If Pac is still inside Floyd's head on fight night, then Pac will pull off the upset.

Yeah that makes alot of sense. I mean Floyd spent most of his lightweight days chasing Shane Mosley and Oscar De La Hoya. Fought Diego Corrales 33-0 28 KO's and Jose Luis Castillo after he broke his ribs in the first fight, but he's scared of Pacquiao. Yep makes sense.:nut

Pac will knock Void out, but he has to get Void into a ring first. Void's idol is the chicken in the Rocky movie.

Does not make sense. Floyd is not yet a big name during that time, of course win or lose he will look for big fight that will give him some money, even if he knows that he will be anhhilated. A loss will not a big deal cause he is not yet a star.

But things have changed ever since Floyd got overrated by his fans(*****s), he avoided Cotto, Pacquiao and Margarito. Floyd is scared that the overrating of his fan(*****s) to him will end once he face Pacquiao and be defeated.

So he avoided Cotto, Pacquiao and Margarito, but fought the guy who gave Cotto hell, Roach said Pacquiao couldnt beat and Margarito who he beat the **** out of.

Who is this guy? Mosley. Yep the Welterweight champion of the world at the time. Member him.
