I don't know how you defend against looping jobs.

I want to see how Margarito's pressure affects Pac before I comment on Pac-Chavez. Fighters who come straight at Pac are not his kryptonite.

i think we could have had a great trilogy in our hands ala mab-em.

    with pac taking 2 wins.

chavez, just like EM and other mexican greats are pressure fighters and rely not only on pure technical skill but also a big fighting heart.

while it is a no brainer that chavez was way prime when he met dlh, that match-up is indicative of what chavez will suffer if he went up against a superior counter puncher or someone with enough offensive threat to affect your own offense.

i think prime pac and dlh can beat chavez. i am a bit split about mayweather-chavez.

chavez was really good, but i honestly think he was a bit over rated and was not really tested too much by quality opposition.

the last minute stoppage of taylor, to be honest, i found a bit odd. saw it twice, it was the baldy referee if I am not mistaken.

I'd actually favor Pac in this fight as well, he has the handspeed and power to give Chavez fits, but Chavez is being way underrated in that article. He is easily an ATG in my book, and gets little credit or recognition nowdays.

the problem with chavez legacy in my opinion is that sure, he had terrific wins but I doubt if he had wins that you can consider as epic.

roger mayweather? camacho? come on fellas.

?? pac wasn't in his prime then, he was still very green.

pac UD12. in and out points gameplan would be 12 rounds of jcc sr missing. if they both went to war then itd be a different story.

I think that was his main argument for Pacquiao being the best boxer of all time. I've never seen any boxer ever throw looping jobs like Pacquiao can...not even Ali or Robinson. :good

That shot that Ali put Liston down in their second fight was the best looping job I've ever seen. Ali called it his anchor punch.

C'mon. Too many people are overrating Manny. He got hit A LOT by Miguel Cotto and was beaten by Morales thanks to his superior timing and punch resistance. Chavez's timing and ability to cut off the ring, coupled with his will to win would edge him over Manny, IMO.

I would picture this fight going a lot like the Cotto fight but without the early KDs and a lot more offense from JCC as opposed to Cotto.

JCC would give Pac nightmares. Yes Pac is fast of both hand and foot but he's also easy to hit and likes to trade too much for his own good. Pac isn't Pea Whitaker he isn't slick and he's not going to outbox JCC for 12 rounds he's going to go to war and doing that against JCC who would cut off the ring and go to Pac's body is the wrong plan of action. I see Pac wining the first four rounds until JCC starts to find Pac's body and JCC finishes Pac off around round 11 or so. JCC sustained body attack would be too much for Pac.
