    I disagree.

A while back someone made a thread entitled "FAT JOE" and criticised me for starting too many threads. They were right so I stopped doing it and posted in existing threads unless a subject warranted starting a new one.

But this thread is a full page article and a different subject than your thread. I see exactly what you mean about the general forum though, I just flicked through it now and it's ridiculous. Threads like "My 2 Cents" - well just put your 2 cents in an existing thread then.

A few sitting on the fence in that article. It seems that most who picked Cotto were underestimating Margarito's punch resistance.

Jesus christ some of those are way off the mark, Froch doesn't have a clue lol, and anyone saying Cotto has the edge in power... ermmm, based on what?

I feel Margarito has the tools to win. He’s got the reach, the strength and the dig and he could trouble Cotto early on. Cotto likes to dictate the pace, but he can be hurt early on – he was against Torres and against Judah. Cotto was punch-perfect against Alfonso Gomez but now he really has to raise his game. Margarito can stay out of harm’s way and build an early lead. He must be disciplined but his bravado could be his undoing. I’m swayed to go for Margarito by controversial late stoppage.

this dude calls it bang on the button, i had £10 on a cotto stoppage also (any round) i just under estimated margarito's toughness, he's made of steel the fooker

I NEVER SAW ANY CONTROVERSY IN THE STOPPAGE.

MARGARITO DIDN'T BUILD AN EARLY LEAD.

MARGARITO DIDN'T HURT COTTO EARLY ON.

    COTTO'S BRAVADO WASN'T HIS UNDOING.

APART FROM THAT, HE GOT IT ON THE BUTTON.

margarito dictated the pace, the controversy being that margarito stops him, and cotto got hurt like he did against judah and torres, margarito had the tools to win because he done that, margarito stayed out of harms way and never got hurt

appart from that yeah your right, bang on the button

POW is right here; that is a **** assessment.

"Controversial late stoppage" is not the same as unexpected late stoppage (in any case this was not a Buster Douglas type upset).

"He's got the reach": Margarito didn't use, and he never does use, his reach advatntage as a tool. He's an inside banger.

"Margarito can stay out of harms way and build an early lead": For the first five rounds Cotto was just about punch perfect. Margo did not stay out of harms way, and he definetly did not build an early lead (Cotto easily won four of the first five rounds)

"His (Cotto's) bravado could be his undoing": This just plain did not happen. Just about every time Margarito landed on Cotto it was against the ropes. There was no duke-out machismo in centre ring. Cotto had a reverse gear gameplan, and it just did not work.

Margs punches were always hurting Cotto. even though cotto was winning almost every round. this fight was a lot like taylor vs chavez.

cant blame any of the expertts for getting this wrong. 80% of us got it wrong to.

i tipped cotto meself on pts.

never doubted that margo would soak em up.

i thought cuts would be a possibility for margo cos of his form with em in the past.

thought cotto would manage to ride it out though.
