    - Tim Starks, The Queensberry Rules

"Pacquiao has the potential of completely dominating and dismantling Cotto."

    BOXERS AND TRAINERS

"Pacquiao. From the very first round the advantage would be Pacquiao.”
    -Antonio Margarito

“I think Pacquiao is a quick starter, and if I had to lean toward a fighter, I would say Pacquiao."
    - Floyd Mayweather Jr.

“Basically, I see Cotto busted up. I don’t think his face is gonna hold up through 12 rounds of the fight."
    - Bernard Hopkins

    “Pacquiao will win.”
    - Mike Tyson

"I believe that Pacquiao should put him on the canvas in five or six rounds."
    - Marquez's trainer Nacho Beristain

"Cotto keeps coming, this other kid Pacquiao, is so good, so slick. I think Pacquiao is the best fighter right now.”
    - Muhammad Ali's trainer Angelo Dundee

"All of these guys underestimate Pacquiao thinking he's the small man. When I met Pacquiao, I wasn't saying how does this guy make welterweight? I was saying how in the hell was he making 130 and 135? Pacquiao is a big dude."
    - Mosley's trainer Naazim Richardson

"We are going to knockout Cotto."
    - Freddie Roach

As you see, many notable names in there...these are guys who know boxing a lot more than any of us on ESB do. How can they all be wrong? Every last one of them picked Pac. I myself think Pacquiao is the one who hads the odds stacked against him, and I'm waiting until 24-7 to make a definitive pick, but if someone put a gun to my head, I'd have to go with Cotto, based on the size and strength difference, and on how Cotto handled himself against guys who I think Pacquiao wouldn't have much of a chance with based on their size. But there are 26 guys on that list and they ALL picked Pacquiao. If 26 guys on ESB voted, I'd be willing to bet that at least 17 or so would pick Cotto.

The point I'm trying to make is that the guys on the list know the ins and outs of boxing a lot more than most us of do...is it possible to have a group like that who all turn out to be wrong?

    Margarito.

Lol I'm surprised Marg said that. Seems very honest. Most wouldn't like to say their biggest win of their career would lose to someone smaller also.

    Add me there:

Cotto will show how size, power and skills can overcome speed and power.

its a change from "Pac will get laid out", "Pac will get boxed", "X is too big and powerful"..
but lets not get carried away. These are 2 elite fighters, and anything can happen. Their previous fights mean nothing coming into the ring.

Cotto must feel how B-Hop felt prior to facing Pavlik. Whether or not Cotto will continue to feel how B-Hop felt after the Pavlik fight is a whole different story.

I was gonna agree with you until I saw this guy's excerpt:

"I don’t see the challenge in a fight with Cotto, but rather another easy way out for Pacquiao."
    - Manuel Perez, Boxing News 24

Why is he considered a journalist?

They could be wrong but that has nothing to do with ESB.

On ESB you have a ridiculous number of morons who would pick prime Klitschko over prime Ali and prime Calzaghe over prime RJJ. ESB is loaded with crappy posters who apparently have no clue about athletics. It would quite likely be a stunning exposure to actually see some of the more active and opinionated posters on this site compete in any sport. Certain fervent pronouncements could then be completely disregarded as coming from the "athletically" ******ed. If only there was an ESB sport comp to weed out the truly pathetic .....

Stick to relying on the picks from the 26 (at least a fair number out of that list are recognizable). You would get better sport picks at your local gym then relying upon anonymous internet posters (from ESB). Imagine the kind of athletic material that spends year after year making tens of thousands of posts - only a rather modest few could be anything to speak of :good - but many/most would be outright jokes.:censored
