...as opposed to the ibf inter-contenental title..

    inter-contenental title gives a top 15 world ranking...that right ?

They have as many titles as possible because they can get sanctioning fees every time their worthless belt is fought for. Soon there'll be enough belts for every active fighter to be a champion of some sort. It'll be like special needs school, where 'everyone's a winner!'

The sanctioning fees are rather small comparing to money which is available from PPV. If there would be only single "inter" title then they will lose many options for further PPv events. Now they can promote their "inter" champions independently so they can have twice more PPV's.
People will always pay for the event in which "world champion" participate.

    It's sanctioning body corruption.
They charge sanctioning fees for these belts.
They usually have so many they have to rank that they rank a guy one month and take him out the next.

the inter continental title has some worth you will be ranked if only for awhile the international belt is worth nothing except earning the ibf a few extra pennie's

there's no head nor tail to the sport any more..
how can you defend a 'sport' with such corruption...i know its always been there...but it's worse now than it ever was...and this whole new thing of the wba with 2 world champs as we have had recently at heavyweight {and super-bantam}...
